I thought the skit was funny as all hell, but they should be careful not to run it into the ground by doing the same thing over and over.
Guest creativename Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 They should have instead made The Guerreros cheat against some sort of antogonistic figure ... like some jerk at the DMV or something because bad things happening to bad people is always funny. And casting The Guerreros as the karmic force of cheating would just be stellar. "Karmic force of cheating"...I love it! "Viva la karma!" I myself thought that the intro thing was hilarious (very SNL TV-funhouse-ish), while the skit itself was all right. I can definitely understand people getting offended by it though. And just because Los Guerreros aren't offended by having to do something so racist, doesn't mean that other hispanics don't have a right to be. They are getting paid for this, after all. Not to mention the fact that plenty of people have willingly participated in things that exploited their ethnicity, which were in fact very offensive. This isn't too bad though, as it appears to be all in fun...as long as they're careful with it.
