Oil Refinery Fire on Staten Island...

Well, I just turned on the TV, and there is a HUGE oil refinery fire in Staten Island. The smoke can be seen from Manhattan. No word if this was a terrorist attack. I can see the smoke in the distance, past the Empire State Building.

U.S Intelligence says there is no indication that this is terrorism. It is more likely an accident.

While I understad why people would jump to conclusions about terrorism, I do not think that should be the way people are. My brother is the exact same way, whenever ANYTHING happens, he shouts terrorism.

 

When the space shuttle exploded, he was CONVINCED it was terrorism. Even though I told him it was not even possible, he INSISTED that a terrorist shot down the shuttle. When I told him it was going fater than any type of missle known to man, he said that he thinks they built one in secret.

 

I'm serious, some people say EVERYTHING is terrorism now.

 

It's almost like people WANT these tragedy's to be because of terrorism, and I hate that, but I think it's true for so many people.

Screaming "terrorism" makes everything much easier to explain to the people who cry it. Of course, we've also been conditioned at this point to think that everything is going to be a terrorist attack anyway.

I wish we could get back to the simpler times when people thought aliens were the reason stuff like this happens.

 

But unless a bunch of refineries all go up about the same time, I doubt it would ever be anything more than accident. Or a bad practical joke.

I was gonna go off on everyone having a terrorism ejaculation every time something happens, but too many people beat me to it. But at least people can know I agree.
