Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted February 21, 2003 Hey... is it just me, or has the DVD Aficionado database been totally wiped clean, of user data and title data? I'm probably going to have to try using DVD Profiler again... damn. It shouldn't be that big a deal since I'm on ethernet now and don't have to wait a million years to download a new database on dial-up, but if DVDAF doesn't get fixed or doesn't come back by the time I have to go home I'll be pissed. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted February 21, 2003 fuuuck...I hope they fix it and that all the entered information comes back up when it's fixed. I think they've been having problems because a few days ago the site wouldn't open.
Guest areacode212 Report post Posted February 21, 2003 They had router problems a few days ago. This is probably related to that. It'll probably come back up sooner or later, since I'd be really surprised if they didn't back up their database.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted February 21, 2003 It's been off and on for about a week now. I use DVDAF and Profiler, so whatever.
Guest MDH257 Report post Posted February 23, 2003 From the site: Dear folks, we have been experiencing technical problems and we are investigating the causes. Thursday night the database went down. No data was lost. We suspect that this was a result of a deadlock between an unusually long maintenance task and other regular processes. To those affected by this or the router outage over the long weekend we deeply apologize. We know how frustrating it can be. Please do not feel alarmed, your data is safe and with your help we will be around for a very long time. - The DVDAF Team.
