Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 The tag division is in shambles right now. Billy and Chucky is the only 'fresh' team in the division right now. Since last night, where do they go now? Who challenges them now since they fought off the other top teams in the fed. Does the split aid the situation at all? they'll still have the same teams competing in the same boring cut and paste matches. Time for extreme measures?
Guest Tony149 Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 I would just job Chuck & Billy to Hall & Nash. I could see that happening. Especially since what happened with Hogan last night. Setting up Rock/Hogan vs. Hall & Nash for the WWF Tag Titles at Backlash.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 I say job Red Tights Party out, as well. Let the Outsiders face the Hollywood Express for the straps at Backlash, but let them keep the titles. Then, let them wreak havoc on the tag division until Edge and Christian reunite to save the world from certain destruction.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Well if that happened...does ANY team have a chance to take the belts back? Rock/Hogan as tag champs...they lose...most would have a hard time buying it because its "the 2 biggest stars ever" Hall and Nash seem a more likely choice but it leaves them with Chuckabilly as the only real viable contenders with any real heat. On either team the division still collects dust, IMO.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 I hope the WWF isn't building up Billy and Chuck, even giving them a Wrestlemania title defence, and then going to job the title right onto Hall and Nash. They should build the division around the proven teams they have right now. Spike and Tazz would be a good place to start because neither of them are doing anything of importance, and their last title reign was pretty good IMO.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 ya, despite their size/style, Tazz and Spike had me a impressed as tag team champs. I don't know why but they were convincing.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 I'd love E&C to reform, even if it were only short term. If they came back as faces to take on Hall and Nash, they'd be super over.

Billy and Chuck are placeholder champions for untill either Vince finds a new team to push or untill he finally decides to put Kevin Nash to work and give him and Hall the tag titles in order to keep them out of the main event...

If they came back as faces to take on Hall and Nash, they'd be super over. It almost seems that E&C are the only hope for the tag division. But if they reform for the short term to take out the Outsiders, doesnt that leave the tag division in the same mess after its all done? And if E&C reformed for the long haul, they would ultimately fall into the same trap of staleness.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 That's true. The split (if and when it happens) might help, as they'll have to create some new teams, which will be interesting.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted March 18, 2002 Report Posted March 18, 2002 Keep the belts on Chuck & Billy, and build around them. On the last Smackdown, I saw Chuck & Billy signs, and a row of guys w/ "Chuck & Billy" spelled out on t-shirts, so they appear to be getting over. I see putting the belts on Hogan/Rock or the Outsiders as worse for the division, as you don't have any credible contenders.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 Chuck & Billy are getting over in the same way the RTC were. People, and not just smarks, know that they suck, and enjoy them in an ironic sense. It won't last.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 Last night was a perfect opportunity to establish them as the champs. Rather than Stacy interference --> DQ, it should have been Stacy botched interference --> cheap pinfall by C&B. The Dudleyz could still have done the table spot, and if you really wanted to go all out, C&B could have saved her, getting heel heat in the process (judging by the pop the Dudleyz got). Then, C&B could either dump her, or keep her but C&B insist on her covering up.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 Except from the way JR was acting, it was Stacey that turned face, not the Dudleys.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I really don't know who turned face. It would seem to be Stacy, but the Dudleyz got a face pop.
Guest Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I must admit I don't think Billy and Chuck are that bad a team. However Chuck is a bit of a tool, and needs to improve a lot. How is the tag division going to work in the split roster. Are they going to jump to and fro like the wwf champ and Womens champ?
Guest Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I know what is next for them. They are gonna do, what Scotty 2 Hotty and Brian Christopher never did...get married!!! Wouldn't that be so cute...no, it would make me sick. I really don't care about them, or the Craptacular tag division. Cheers
Guest Risk Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 Stacy with B and C would be good IMO. No covering up though, plus, the girls like B and C in hose "tights"(Ugh...). I would attack Vince if he did a "gay marriage".
Guest Tony149 Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I could see Stacy with The Red Tights Party working. That could give them some heat for having a hot babe hanging around two guys who act gay.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 The Dudley's should be faces again after putting Stacy threw the table last night. Having Stacy with Billy and Chuck could be a pretty funny teaming. Stacy can shake her ass at their opponents but her ass will have no effect on B&C.
Guest mrfozz Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I just hope with this split we see the Island Boys come in. I saw those guys at the Pilman Show and they are ready.
Guest Human Fly Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I agree about the Island Boys, they are fresh and able to get over. Hopefully with the split we'll see a bunch of new tag teams. I read in another post someone said something about Saturn and Waterman forming a team. Things like that would be cool. And they need to do something. Maybe Jindrak and O'Haire are ready as well.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 You want a tag division Fine: The Island Boyz Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer Hurricane and Shannon Moore Raven and Saturn O'haire and Palumbo ARE YOU LISTENING VINCE???
Guest Anglesault Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 You want a tag division Fine: The Island Boyz Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer Hurricane and Shannon Moore Raven and Saturn O'haire and Palumbo ARE YOU LISTENING VINCE??? Matt Stryker and Chad Collyer Who the fuck? O'haire and Palumbo O'Haire sucks.
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 Sean O'Haire should get teamed with Mark Jindrak again. These two guys got themselves over very quickly in the old WCW just because of their offence and wicked looks. With a little more training these guys could be the Tag Team Division in the WWF.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted March 19, 2002 Report Posted March 19, 2002 I was never a big fan of Jindrak. I liked the Palumbo/O'Haire team better.
Guest Laizen Posted March 20, 2002 Report Posted March 20, 2002 If you really want to push Billy and Chuck have a main event on Raw or Smackdown, with Rock and Hogan vs Outsiders vs Billy and Chuck. Billy and Chuck could get beaten down the whole match. Have the Outsiders get eliminated first then still interfere with Rock/Hogan so that Billy can fameasser Rock for a quick 3. This adds to the Rock/Hogan vs NWO fued and makes Billy and Chuck seem to be the heel team that always scrapes out a win.
Guest the 1inch punch Posted March 20, 2002 Report Posted March 20, 2002 Stryker and Collyer are a duo in HWA . Collyer is in the midst of a best of 7 with Shannon Moore
Guest WWF4Life Posted March 20, 2002 Report Posted March 20, 2002 Laizen's idea is cool. Similar to what happened with the New Age Outlaws, when they faced Austin-Taker and Kane-Mankind. That helped to elevate them and the tag division. It'd probably work, but it won't happen.
Guest KOR420 Posted March 20, 2002 Report Posted March 20, 2002 Looks like its the ambiguously gay trio now, according to smackdown spoilers,"The Stylist" for B&C is Rico Constantino from OVW
