Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted February 22, 2003 I have a hard time waking up for Saturday morning cartoons anymore. When I was a kid I'd be up at 5:30 in the freaking morning to watch the old cartoons that were played before the regular Saturday morning fare came on. Now I'm lucky if I catch even one episode of any show without the aid of my VCR.

Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Very few cartoons are worth getting up for these days. Your wasting your time unless your watching Looney Tunes or TMNT.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Or Ultimate Muscle, Mad Dog. Fox is okay now. Before they were GREAT (Spider-Man, X-Men, and Power Rangers), then they were CRAP (150 Pokémon rip-off's each day), now they're pretty good. I set my alarm for 9:30...but then again, I also want Metallica tickets.
Guest Mad Dog Report post Posted February 22, 2003 I've watched Ultimate Muscle but jumping in during the middle really sucks. Could someone hook me up with an episode guide so I understand it a bit better or just explain it.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Well, if you caught this morning's, I can give you a LITTLE insight (because I just started REALLY watching 3 weeks ago). Kid Muscle is a 2nd-generation star from Planet Muscle. He's tired of living in his father's shadow, but he really doesn't 100% WANT to be a wrestler as much as the other people he trained with. Right now, in the Muscle League, the dMp and Generation X are having a reign of terror, so a tournament has been held to see who will be able to stay (or something...more confusing storylines than a Russo script). Right now, in the finals, are the Muscle League's KID MUSCLE and the "loner" of Generation X that is PURE HEEL (I forget his name, unfortunately). This show isn't good to watch for humor or storylines, but for the animation of the wrestling moves, as well as the dead-on commentary. Sure, most of the moves are mis-called, but it's a kid cartoon show, and most of the move names are probably copyrighted. But really, the show should be watched for its sheer stupidity and its excellent animation of moves during the matches, as well as entertaining commentary. The real downside? Only half of a match is shown each episode.
Guest RenegadeX28 Report post Posted February 22, 2003 FUCK! I missed it! I woke up at 12 PM today. So, what Tank said.....that was basically the episode?
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Yeah. The turtles destroyed all of the mousers, then shredder told his henchmen to punish Baxter or something.
Guest DawnBTVS Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Anyone happen to have a pic of Shredder? Damn my alarm, caught the closing credits.

Guest Karnage Report post Posted February 22, 2003 Do you ever see Shredder without the mask in the original series? And April looks a lot better in the new series, she doesn't have that weird yellow suit thingy anymore.

Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted February 22, 2003 He takes off the part covering his mouth in the first episode to reveal he's Splinter's old enemy. There's probably a few more times. Anyways, my usual Pros and Cons... PROS: Turtle origin told. We have to wait for Splinter's, though. Probably won't get it until week nine or ten, when the Turtles face Shredder finally. Two or three funny scenes. Hun is introduced, and he already has more of a success rate than Bebop and Rocksteady combined. CONS: Kinda boring. Not much to complain about or completely mark out over, besides the origin. Today's was my least favorite of the bunch, I suppose. Next week: CASEY f'n JONES. Oh, why oh why can't you say "f'n" on a Saturday morning cartoon?
Guest JMA Report post Posted February 24, 2003 There's a new TMNT series? Damn, I knew they had those new toys for a reason. How long has it been on? It's on Fox, right? What time does it come on (central time zone)?

Surely she can't be one, what without the yellow jumpsuit and all.
