Guest bob_barron Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Couldn't have they loaded that bitch up with extras? I'll pass
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Wow! That's ....oh that's just weak. You'd think at how badly the show was received, they'd at least make the extras compelling enough to at least make one think about buying it.
Guest CED Ordonez Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 HOLY SHIT! DAMIAN DEMENTO ON DVD! DAMIAN FUCKING DEMENTO ON D-V-D!!!!! Ah fuck, who am I kidding... I don't get why you'd put out the most boring and disappointing episodes of Raw on DVD. I much rather have a full apology from the WWE about completely dropping the ball on the 10th anniversary special and making up for it with a real 10th anniversary special
Guest Austin3164life Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I can't believe Raw match of the decade was the TLC 2002 match. There are probably at least 10 other matches that could be at that #1 spot. The two that stick out most in my mind are the Tag Titles match with Austin/HBK vs. Bulldog/Owen, and Austin vs. Rock the night after Survivor Series 98.
Guest ConchairtoHead Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I would include video packages galore. i dunno what they did at the actual show, but i would have a video package of the wrestler who wn the award, showing exactly what made them the superstar of the decade. PLUS i would include heaps of extra matches.
Guest Respect The 'Taker Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 The extras could have saved this one, sadly with that bullshit on there, it's not even worth looking at. UYI
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 They needed an insane amount of extras to make up for the crap that was Raw X, but as usual the WWE fails, there's no way i'll be purchasing this.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Non-Televised Awards - "Now That's an Entrance!" I'm guessing it came down to Booker T dropping Austin into a table, Chris Jericho's opening promo, and HHH's return to MSG. And I'd bet real money on who won.
Guest JHawk Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 No Flair-Perfect loser leaves? No 1-2-3 Kid-Razor Ramon? No Bulldog/Owen-HBK/Austin? Just an above average "Match of the Decade" and a shitty four minute squash? Thousands of matches to choose from, and they give us TLC IV and Damian fucking Demento.
TheFranchise Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 They should have put all the WWE Desire videos on this.
Guest humongous2002 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I wouldn't buy this shitty dvd even if they had a porno of fat Steph and HGH in it.
Guest Human Fly Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 What amazes me is that the WWF knew that this event sucked. They knew they dropped the ball, and that everyone was dissapointed. So you would think that they would load this up with extras don't you? Did anyone notice that one of the extras is a recap of the show? Why would you want to watch the whole boring special and then watch a recap (on the same DVD) to remind you of the agony? What a sucky job with this DVD they shouldn't even waste their money printing this glorified coaster.
Guest humongous2002 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Instead of making a best of Flair dvd, a best of Austin in WCW dvd or WWE best matches of 2003 dvd they make this crapfest, no wonder they are loosing money by the millions, they are not in touch with the fans anymore.
Guest AndrewTS Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Wow, the worst TLC eva, a Taker match, and assorted crap like Terri commenting on the WWE peoples' clothes. I'll pass, thank you very much.
Guest art_vandelay Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Well, the box looks nice.
Guest Slapnuts00 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 That's bad. I have the RAW X show on tape and the RAW Roullete episode with the TLC match. So that leaves a couple of cut "awards" and Damien Demento vs. The Undertaker...right, no thanks.
Guest papacita Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 They could've at least thrown in one of the Michaels Vs Jannetty matches.
Guest razazteca Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 if it cost more than $9.95 its not worth it
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I wouldn't pay $9.95 for it. And I use Canadian currency.
Guest OnlyMe Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Remember, though, that they can't use any footage from 1996-mid 2002, without blurring the logos (and face it - who'd buy DVD's with blurring?) And nothing happened on Raw before 1996
Guest bob_barron Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Actually they can't use stuff from mid 1998-2002. I would've cut out the actual special and just raid the sucker with great matches from each year. Like- 1993- Yokozuna v. Koko B. Ware (First ever RAW match) Mr. Perfect v. Ric Flair HBK v. Jannetty 1-2-3 Kid v. Razor Ramon HBK v. Jannetty 1994- Bret Hart v. 1-2-3 Kid Razor Ramon v. HBK 1-2-3 Kid v. HBK Kid/Jannetty v. The Quebecers 1995- Bret Hart v. Owen Hart Shawn Michaels/Diesel/Undertaker v. Camp Cornette HBK v. Owen Hart Razor Ramon v. Sid 1996- Steve Austin v. Matt Hardy Steve Austin v. Mankind Undertaker v. Mankind Bret Hart v. Owen Hart The RAW Bowl 1997- HBK/Austin v. Bulldog/Owen Austin v. Bret HBK v. Mankind Cactus Jack v. Triple H Bret Hart v. Sid (Bret goes off on a rant) Owen Hart v. Bulldog 1998- New Age Outlaws v. Funk/Cactus Austin v. Kane Shamrock v. Austin Austin v. Rock Mankind v. Taker 1999- Mankind v. The Rock (Mankind wins title) Mankind v. The Rock (ladder match) Taker v. Austin Mankind v. Triple H (Triple H wins WWF title) Rock-n-Sock v. Taker/Big Show 2000- Rock/Too Cool/Rikishi/Mankind v. Triple H/Benoit/Saturn/XPac/Malenko Triple H v. Chris Jericho TAKA v. Triple H Edge-n-Christian v. Hardyz (ladder match) Chris Benoit v. Steve Austin 2001- Angle v. Austin Benoit/Jericho v. Triple H/Steve Austin Benoit v. Angle Austin v. Angle The Rock v. Jericho 2002- Angle v. Austin RVD v. Eddy Benoit v. RVD TLC4 Austin v. Flair NOW that's a tribute to RAW.
Guest JHawk Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I'm still confused as to why they have to blur the damn footage. I mean, I know why they have to blur it, but I'm still wondering as to how they're expected to change existing footage to keep people from getting confused over two companies that aren't anything alike in the first place. Wow, what a run-on sentence!
Guest OnlyMe Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 <<Actually they can't use stuff from mid 1998-2002.>> I wasn't quite sure. Thank you for the clarification. <<1993- Yokozuna v. Koko B. Ware (First ever RAW match)>> Hell, why not go the whole way and show the whole first episode? Have a double disc presentation set - perhaps not having it specifically as the "Raw X" DVD, but a "10 years of Raw" set, which includes the Raw X show - subtle difference, but it gets rid of the stigma of it being such a god awful show. Recap some of the great feuds, show a handful of the greatest matches - with most matches being a MAXIMUM of 20 minutes on Raw, there's plenty that could be included. Have interviews with people that appeared on Raw, and have some highlight reels. Even include the video packages that they use to hype matches on PPV. That is a hell of a DVD set, but sadly it won't happen, thanks to the Panda lawsuit. I'm surprised that Vince hasn't paid off the WWF for the rights to use his own footage.
Guest razazteca Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 can't they just say no Pandas were harm during these tapings? The Raw X DVD should of put the Slammy 97 as an extra.
Guest bob_barron Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Slammys 97 is okay. It has the kill the clown bit and a very funny Mankind acceptance speech
Guest The Czech Republic Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Does Slammys '97 have Owen "winning" Best Bowtie?
