Guest What? Report post Posted February 22, 2003 I just rented this today, and I must say, that was an eye opener. I always thought that Sid and Rotten hated each other, but when I saw Rotten break down and cry about Sid's death, I was in disbelief. And the fact that Rotten blamed the Punkers for ruining punk music because they turned it into "a club" of some sorts and they all dressed alike, I thought that was cool. Has anybody else seen this? Guest Lethargic Report post Posted February 22, 2003 I've watched it several times. I love it. That Rotten/Sid part was the highlight to me too. That bastard got ME choked up watching it because that's just one guy you don't expect to break down like that and it made it very emotional. I mean, I knew they were best friends and all until the falling out but I never expected to see that. I even made my Mom watch it once and it got HER choked up too. It was like after all these years of him hiding it and calling Sid a coat hanger and things like that finally just vanished and the real person behind the Johnny Rotten character came out for a second. Besides that there wasn't much new that hasn't been covered in Rotten's book and other things, but it was put together very well to make it all so much more interesting to watch than just another documentary about a band. If you haven't read Rotten's book, you need to. I don't think there is one word in there that I disagreed with. His opinions on everything from punk to sex to family to the world in general, it was like I wrote the book myself.
