I turned on Fox News this morning shortly after waking up and the first thing I see is a stock photo of Curt Hennig while some guy is takling about him. The guy is skinny and has a very raspy voice. And after a few moments I'm thinking "...Bobby?" He's almost unrecognizable now.

Just caught the last few minutes but he talked about hearing Hennig had passed away and not calling his home for fear it was nothing more than a bad joke. He also mentioned that Curt had had an irregular heartbeat for years. Talked briefly about fans immitating the wrestlers they see on TV, although that was only brought up by the interviewer in an obvious attempt to point fingers. Apparently the interview was about his book that went off on a tanget on Hennig.

After the interview, Bobby made it clear that he still has it when he interrupted the interviewer's sedgeway by asking "Do I get paid for this?" and as he was getting up he asked where Katie Couric was. That was pretty hilarious.

Please just drop the tired Faux News thing.

Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they aren't a valid news source.

Actually, I dislike them because they are NOT a valid news source. Thus the name "faux." Besides, if people can call CNN (the most moderate news channel) the Communist News Network I don't see why I can't do the same to the Fascist News Channel.

Well considering no one on here usually does maybe you should just call it by it's name.

As far as an AP source it is actually one of the most accurate.

Was it 20/20 that completely took Mick Foley's quote out of context?

*raises hand*

I am responsible for referring to CNN as the Communist News Network. It seemed funny at the time. See, Communist starts with a 'C' ... News starts with an 'N' ... and Network starts with an 'N'. Fits together pretty nicely.

And don't take what I say too personally. I'm just playing around.

Bobby the Brain is STILL the man. "Am I getting paid for this?" GOLD, baby.

Get well, Brain. We love ya, man.

I watched this also, and I loved it. He's a natural entertainer, and he does his job damn well. At the end of that interview, I just smiled so damn big when he totally went into character, I miss him so damn much.

What I wouldn't give to see the Brain and the Rock just go at it.

It's not Communist News Network....it's Conservative News Network.

If he still has it like you say, I didn't see the interview, they should bring him back as a color commentator. Actually getting a heel back in the booth would be pretty sweet.

Well he's still fighting / recovering from throat cancer. His voice was completely different.

I was fortunate enough to meet Bobby back in December and get my copy of his book autographed. Without a doubt, he's a class act. At one point during our brief meeting, I mentioned that there are a lot of us that would love to see him back in the announce booth. To that, he replied "Nah ... it's just not the same anymore; I don't know if I'd want to go back these days."

You know what? I agree with him. The thought of Bobby Heenan having to apply his expertise as a "broadcast journalist" to Golddust with Touret's, or RAW is Necro makes my stomach churn. Actually, Bobby ripping on Goldy would be pretty darn entertaining. The rest, he'd be good to do without.

How did Bobby get throat cancer anyways? Will he ever get his normal voice back?

I think Heenan was a long time smoker.

Ah. That sucks. Heck, I'm not one to judge. I would probably start chain-smoking myself if I had to work with some of the gimmicks the WWF had back then.

Man, that sounds truly classic.

I do wish that Bobby would return in some fashion, but I honestly cant think of anything that would be good enough as of late.

Dreaming here but:
