Kurt Angle Mark Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 By Dave Melter "While this has not been confirmed, I expect they'll do some sort of an angle on the show to eliminate Edge from the six-man tag (Edge will be at the show). Rhyno's name has been mentioned most prominently as the replacement. There are also some late discussions trying to get Bill Goldberg to make some sort of an appearance at the show."
Guest wwF1587 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 it better be rhyno and NOT goldberg..
Guest Repo Man jr Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Hmmm, is anyone not coming back tomorrow night?
Guest tpww7 Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Lex Luger...well you never know, they might try and get him after that ***** WWA Appearance.
Guest Vitamin X Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 hey as long as Goldberg comes back and has some Bret Hart classic matches with HHH and Taker.... thanks guy!
Guest deadbeater Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Rhyno would be nice. His offense is kinda plain, but he only goes forward no matter who his opponent is.
Guest Downhome Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 I want Goldberg to come back, I can see all of the positives if it happens, HOWEVER... ...I really feel there is no reason to have him debut at this time, if they sign him. Having a PPV stacked with the return of FOUR superstars, is simply not good business if you ask me. Hell, I'd save Goldberg for maybe even Summerslam later this year, or at the earliest, KOTR. Don't get me wrong, if he shows up I'll mark our so bad, I'm just saying, I think it would be best for business to save him. Then again, if they actually have a interesting storyline for him, then it would work, heh.
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Nuts to that. Have Rhyno gore and piledrive Edge at the beggining of the match, then get Rhyno dragged away by refs. Stetcher job Edge, leave Benoit and Brock to get the job done. If Rhyno is on the team of Angle and Benoit, there is no chance that we'll see a Benoit vs Rhyno match at Mania.

Unless Rhyno turns on Benoit halfway through the match.
Guest Quik Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Maybe Goldberg will come back, and then tear his quad while running across the ring for a spear. Think he'd get a "Desire" video?
Guest Lord of The Curry Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 A face turn and then heel turn for Rhyno in one match? No thanks.
Guest El Satanico Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Oh please he's been gone for over a year...the audience won't remember that he was a heel.
Guest Nevermortal Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Oh please he's been gone for over a year...the audience won't remember that he was a heel. Exactly. Whenever you come back from an injury (or a long period of abscence if you're a McMahon), you're almost guaranteed to get a face pop.
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Wasn't Rhyno a face when he left? Remember he got kicked out of the Alliance. Shane tried to get everyone in the Alliance to jump him and he threw his shirt off and asked them all to bring it on and they were to scared to fight him. I remember the fans going batshit.
TheFranchise Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Hmmm, is anyone not coming back tomorrow night? shane isn't
Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 And I was talking with my friend and we both agree.......we can't picture Rhyno as a face. He just has a much better heel demeanor. His constant goring of anything that moves is more of a heelish tactic. Then on the other hand.....the fans do pop for it pretty big.
Guest Choken One Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 If Goldberg appears...I'll pop...It's my natural insctint to pop for "unexpected" shit like that...But I could ONLY see it happening during Rock/Hogan... Which I expect Rock/Goldberg to go down and WWE forgets the Booker build up for the easier and already written HHH/Austin angle for Mania...

I couldn't really picture Scotty Steiner as a face though..
Guest Brian Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 Maltzer wrote something in the Observer, just speculation, that Steiner should get taken out and Booker should take his spot, win the match but not the title through stipulation, and actually push it as a test run or something along the lines. Then, they have Booker or Steiner as feasible challengers for Mania.
Guest the pinjockey Posted February 23, 2003 Report Posted February 23, 2003 That would be a pretty kick ass idea.
