Guest Shanghai Kid Report post Posted February 23, 2003 On Friday Night, TMAC scored 52 points against the Chicago Bulls. Meanwhile, MJ was becoming the first 40 year old to ever score 40 points with 43 in a win over the New Jersey Nets. Anybody who is paying attention to the Eastern playoff picture can see that Orlando and Washington are gunning it out for the 8th and final spot in the Playoffs. While both teams feature an OK supporting cast, they really plan on riding their superstars into the postseason. In a recent telephone conversation with his coach, TMAC said simply one line before hanging up, "I'm taking this team to the playoffs". After the Nets game, MJ was quoted as saying "I have 28 games left in my career, I will do whatever it takes to get to the Playoffs". Both teams are currently tied for the 8th spot, and they pretty much have an equally difficult schedule. What it comes down to, is TMAC vs Jordan, the Postseason isn't big enough for the both of them. So which team do you think will make it?

Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 23, 2003 I'll chime in...I'd really love to See each team make it into the Playoffs...I really hope that The Bucks choke again, so that way MJ can go into the playoffs... I am not certain on the NBA east standings but I really can't stand The Bucks (maybe it's the city)...

Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted February 24, 2003 If Jordan keeps having to put up big numbers, the Wizards aren't going to the playoffs. You can't rely on a 40 year-old man to score 30 points a night. I thought they had Sunday's game won when they were ahead by 19 points in the first quarter, but I turn around and find out that Jordan had 30 points and they lost in OT. The Mavericks may be a tough team, but that's who you see in the playoffs.
