Any Pistons fans in here?

With all the talk of the NBA and such I see very few posts about how Detriot has silently dominated in the East with the best defense in the league.

 

Now that they've played most of the season I'm glad that they got the better part of the Hamilton/Stackhouse trade.

 

Anyone think they can make it to the Finals?

I think they can make it to the Finals off of their defense. The only thing that concerns me is, when the game goes down to the wire, who will they get to score? I guess Hamilton or Cliff Robinson would be the best candidates.

They'll go to the finals I say, the defense on the team is scary. And granted they don't have a go to guy but they do have a machine in Wallace who is one of the few clutch rebounders I've ever seen. He gives them lots of second chances when they need it and I wouldn't be surprised if he did it in the finals.

Pistons just don't appeal to me for some reason. They're doing great, have amazing defense and Ben Wallace's rebounds impress me, but for some reason, I just can't "like" the team. There record impresses me greatly, but I don't seem to cheer when they win or boo when they lose.

I'm trying to get into the Pistons...years ago I promised myself that if they were ever a threat again I would watch.

 

Season was almost over last year till I realized how good they were...Joe Dumars has put together a hell of a team.

The Pistons are upset they aren't get any attention nationally. Don't know why they care so much. They can play under the Radar and have a chance to make at least the Eastern Conference Finals. They have lost 2 straight since they took over first in the Eastern Conference.

They are definately the sleeper team in the East Confrence. Rick Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league. No other coach gets more from the talent he has, then him.

 

Defense can win you championships, and the Piston's have one of the best. But I am not sure they have enough offensive fire power to win it all, or even get in the Finals. Wallace, for all the things he does great (defense, rebounds, block shots) is a offensive liability at times. One just has to look to last year's playoffs to notice that. But, the East is such a toss up, that maybe the Pistons can sneak into the finals, only to get rolled by the West champion (hopefully the Kings).
