Wesley Willis

Recommended Posts

I downloaded a few of his songs.. and it seems unintentionally funny.

Favorites: "I whupped Batman's ass", "Birdman kicked my ass" and "Cut the Mullet"

Wesley may be fat, schizophrenic and he does play a Casio, but it works.

Have you heard his music before?

I wanted to go to see Wesley Willis a year ago when he played a small club ten minutes from my house but it was on a Wednesday night and no one wanted to go with me so I ended up not going. I ended up passing up a chance to see a 300 pound Schizo black guy playing a Casio live.

Check his 'Girls on Film" cover from the Duran Duran tribute album.

While I enjoy many of his songs, I also can't deny that they all sound the same, plus I feel bad sometimes for laughing at a schizophrenic for ranting and generally being schizophrenic.

He played at a frat house at my school the year before I started. I wish I'd been there--they paid him with as much beer as he could drink and several dozen Krispy Kreme donuts.

since when is McDonald's a place to rock? Who goes to McD's to listen to the music? Is he talking about the McDonald's on Haight St?

He played a club in Pittsburgh a few years ago. I couldn't go, but a friend of mine did. He said that Wesely said "That's my Bush" about six hundred times and head butted a guy who jumped up on stage and tried to slam dance with him.

I too have to put in another vote for "Suck a Cheetah's Dick" which is probably the best of his random list songs. Vampire Bat used to get airplay on Dr. Demento all the time. Check out this link: http://www.141empire.com/141prime/WESLEY_%20TOP10.htm

that's his way of expressing affection. if he likes you, he'll headbutt you.

I can't stand Wesley Willis myself, but I felt like sharing that I friend of mine once received no less than six (6) headbutts from Mr. Willis. It's all we heard about for days afterwards.
