What's the deal with Malice?

What's the deal with this guy?

 

I read that he was signed by the WWE, then I hear he went back to doing TNA shows, as well as other indies. I've never thought anything of the guy, but what's going on?

Last I heard, he was still bound to TNA for quite a few dates, but because WWE had interest, they began spacing out his appearances, that way they didn't use him for x amount of weeks straight, only to lose him to WWE when the deal ran out. At this point, I don't think it matters to TNA anyway, to be honest. He's been doing shots for XPW and PCW during the last few months as well.

One thing is for sure.......he never had a developmental contract with WWE.

He just finished working a tour with AJPW working under the name Gigantes.
