Danzig In Talks With Misfits for Upcoming Tour

Recommended Posts

Guest Nevermortal
Glenn Danzig is in talks with his former band MISFITS to embark on a reunion tour this summer, reliable sources have informed BLABBERMOUTH.NET. Although no official announcement has yet been made, it is understood that several European promoters and festival organizers have been approached about booking the group, which hasn't performed with in its original formation since Glenn left the band in 1983. As previously reported, Danzig's namesake group are in the process of putting together a headlining tour called "The Blackest of The Black", featuring "the darkest, most extreme bands all on one stage," according to the tour's official web site. The trek is tentatively set to kick of in May. No further information is available at this time.

:headbang:

If this happens, I will mark out like a little bitch!

Doesn't this mean that the world is coming to an end, or something?

Yes, I expect it to rain blood anytime now.

Yes, I expect it to rain blood anytime now.

From the lacerated sky, even?

This is glorious news. The only Misfits material I like is the Danzig stuff. Graves can sing and all, but I don't know..when I listen to the guy, I can just picture him..smiling.

I'd assume that they'd play in Europe more than they would here in the U.S. And I'm positive they won't come anywhere near my city.

Already seen Jerry here under the Misfits banner with Dez from Black Flag and Marky Ramone.

If Glenn were to get back with Jerry, and Doyle returns from watching his wife and kids...

...oh god...

**joygasm**

I'd actually rather see Glenn get the original Samhain back together for a tour than the Misfits. I saw that tour with one set as Samhain and one set as Danzig, and it was cool and all, but I'd rather see EERIE~ on stage than Doyle or Jerry Only.

Plus, Glenn covers Misfits songs pretty frequently in Danzig encores.

I will definitely buy tickets for when the group will (undoubtedly) hit LA.

Oh and Coery, that possible reunion you mapped out would certainly be a joygasm.

I've been hearing rumors of a Danzig/Misfits reunion for several years now. I won't believe it until it's 100% confirmed.

FUCK YES. Even though I will probably not get to go to it. But there's always hope.

During the Samhain/Danzig tour a few years ago, they encored the Providence show with Earth AD, and if my memory serves (which it doesn't always) they encored the Paladium show with a Misfits song; which one I can't remember, maybe Die Die my Darling.
