LAKELAND, Fla. - The oldest living American man died yesterday from heart failure. He was 113.

John McMorran, of Lakeland, Fla. considered coffee his elixir.

He quit cigars at age 97. He was born June 19, 1889, in a log cabin in Michigan.

"He was never sick," a 35-year-old great-granddaughter, Lisa Saxton, said. "He lived a great life. Obviously, he was well put together. He smoked cigars, drank beer and ate greasy food. He was an amazing man."

Only problem with living that long is that you get to bury most of your friends and family. Other than that I knew my beer and bacon breakfasts were good for longevity (and hangovers.)

Heh, all these people live past 90 even though they drink and smoke, yet some want us to believe eating nothing but vegetables and drinking water does the trick. They must have made em' better in the 1900s.
