Brock lesnar / paul heyman

Guest One Bad Apple

I looked through the RAW thread, and almost everybody loved Brock Lesnar and how much of a bad-ass monster he was.

To me, he came across a bit dopey.

First ... those noises.  He yelled like a girl right before he spiked Maven.  H did look kinda menacing at times, but he looked like silly at others.  Plus his body struck me as a little misproportioned ... he seemed like some sorta living cartoon.  But he'll get better at it.  I think.

Don't gemme wrong, I did like his debut.  The stuff he did was nice, and it's always cool to see a new face in the WWF.

Seeing him attacking Maven was cool, too.  I dunno why, but I'd love to see that match.

I enjoyed seeing Heyman back, but I would've liked him kept off television a little longer to give some sense of permanence to Survivor Series.  I guess they'll need him on commentary, though.  I hope they at least give a decent reason for his being back.

I'm done.

I think the fact that Booker T was back within a month, Steph, Hurricane, Storm and DDP came back shortly after...and Austin, the Dudleys and RVD never had to leave already blew the Survivor Series angle.

I am interested in seeing how and why Heyman is back.

New talent with a good look...we can use you.

Yeah Brock is a monster.....and I thought Scott Steiner was a body building freak then I see Brock with neck muscles bigger than Spikes legs.

Now the big question is how will the WWF going to promote the muscle bound monster?  Please tell me they will not put him against somebody that clashes with his style, whatever his style is.  It would be nice to see him wrestle against Beniot or Angle since they know how to throw big guys around the ring, anybody else would be squashes or boring big man vs big man slow matches.

He's a muscle-bound monster that can freakin' wrestle (amateur-style, at least), as he was the NCAA wrestling champion in 2000.  Think of him as Bob Backlund on 'roids.

It was explained that Champions would be able to stay.

Right...and the fact that all the over members of the alliance escept Booker T (who showed up a week later asking for his job back) never left...didn't kill the whole winner take all thing for you right away?

Winner took nothing but Raven off tv.

I *really* liked that segment.

First thing I thought when I saw Lesnar was "Goldberg".

Say what you want about Goldberg, but that guy was over like crazy and really was the only good thing about the main event in WCW when the NWO was dying out.

I think Lesnar has what it takes to be even *bigger* than Goldberg.  Goldberg was big, strong and intense, but he looked like a big retard.

Lesnar looked like a freakin' monster.  Plus he's obviously a much better wrestler.

Oh...and a male manager in the WWF?!  Bwuuuuh?

Right before Survivor Series, I felt they pushed Heyman as the driving force behind The Alliance.  Even though they tried to put it out of business, the WCW and ECW wrestlers didn't come across as particularly hateful towards the WWF.  Heyman made it clear that he did.  S'like the WWF was telling us, "The stuff this fat guy is saying is what The Alliance is all about."  His firing was the most important sign that the ECW and WCW were both gone.

That's why I think he shouldn't have been put on television so soon.  Unless Brock Lesnar hates sports-entertainment, too, or something.

Goldberg was big, strong and intense, but he looked like a big retard.

I'd say Lesnar looks pretty retarded.  Heck, I did it in topic post.

Lesnar looked cool.

Like a freakin' movie villian.

Goldberg looked like a big goof.

But of course you guys are probably going to bitch about him squashing Spike.  Get over it...

I thought it was Brakkus at first, but quicky realized it was Lensar once he got in there. His bombs on Spike looked great and he had intensity, plus the crowd was into it. Hopefully Heyman has a stable of free agents who can go undrafted and show up randonmly on each show. His builds a little odd, my wife thought his body was like one of those monsters from "The Gate". All in all im glad they called him up. Have him squash some more guys for a while and take the slow build.

A Heyman stable of young wrestlers would be great. You could have Leviathan who also looks like a monster, and even Sean O'Haire.

Yes O'hare and Leviathan. most definetly.

Maybe they can add Shamrock in there. He wants to return and have a limited schedule and can have Heyman talk for him.

Have them just annihilate people. Theyve got enough enhancement talent to feed to them for a while. Dont have them be prtrayed as shooters or anyhting like that, Just play them up as a new breed, more intense type of wrestler. I think the crowds would eat that up.

But if they called them the New Breed, they would have to be from a future where Dusty Rhodes is president.  And we don't want that.

Anyway, when I saw Heyman jumping around while Lesnar-mania ran wild on Spike, I could just imagine a tennis racket in Heyman's hand.  Welcome back, Heyman.

Also, with the Dudleys ditching Stacy, I wouldn't be surprised if Heyman becomes they're new manager.  I don't think it's a great idea, but it might work, and it would make sense.

The idea of Heyman managing a stable of young psycho's is a great idea, but even just Lesnar is brilliant. Especially because I thought that Jim Ross had said that Lesnar wasn't going to be called up for a while. I would love to see Waterman, Levithian and O' Haire brought in though.

In the Raw thread, someone mentioned Lesnar doing some kind of "2 + 4" move on Maven. Anyone care to elaborate? I vaguely recall Lesnar doing a "fireman's carry into a faceplant" move ala Sean O'Haire. Is that what that is?

BTW, allow me to also jump on the Brock-y Express. The dude looks KILLER! Although, when he was lurking outside the ring before his attack, I though he was either a) Crash Holly wearing lifts, or b) Sid after getting hit on the head with a falling anvil (and not the Neidhart version either). ;)

I haven't seen too many of these OVW guys, but if they start debuting them with Heyman like they did with Brock-y, we're in for some good TV (finally).

They're using Lesnar now the way they should have used Awesome.

Although I'm not complaining. I love Lesnar and can't wait for him to start squashing people on a regular basis.

No one in the crowd seemed to know who he was.  I would have had him wrestle a dark match before, so at least he would have got some reaction when he came out.

He probably did.  The guy wrestles Dark matches at #### near every Raw and Smackdown.

No, I checked, and he didn't (at least according to the Torch).

That was a reference to a video game, Tekken 4 to be exact. Bryan Fury, one of the characters, can do that throw by pressing 2 and 4(right punch and right kick) together.

Thank you.

[...reminds self to update video game collection to include something other than Smackdown 2...]

Jesus Christ that man is huge. I haven't really seen any of these OVW/HWA guys, but I still marked out for him. I've always been a sucker for monster bastards that run through everything.

And God I've missed Heyman. When I saw him outside the ring screaming, I marked out even more. Especially when Brock was giving Spike that triple powerbomb, and Heyman screams "UP! AND DOWN! UP! AND DOWN!"

And I'm predicting Brock ends Taker's streak at Wrestlemania 20.

Being from the UK I haven't seen Raw yet.

But Oh my this sounds Great.

Finally the WWF is bringing back managers.

I've heard great thing about Lesner from both OVW and the Dark matches he's been doing.

The stable idea would be great.

Along the lines of Lesner, Rhyno, Levithan aand Ron Waterman.

All of them look like killers.

Can't see it happening though.

Great that Heyman is back aswell.:)

I was actually imagining a large, 5-pound cellphone in his hand...
