Need a place to stay around Chicago/Wheaton, IL

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone. I know this is kind of an odd topic, and while I don't think it's against the rules to post it, I apologize if I am incorrect. Anyway, the situation is that I am planning on visiting a friend in Wheaton, Illinois, this weekend. However, I have no working car at the moment, and thus cannot get a ride back home until Sunday night or Monday morning. There is not a very good chance of me being able to stay with my friend since he lives with his parents and they are against having people stay overnight. I have very little cash, so I doubt I'd be able to afford a hotel or even a motel. I've seen other members reach out to each other on here and invite other local posters to get together or crash at their place, and while I feel badly doing so myself, I guess that's what I'm asking for here- A place to stay Saturday night, and maybe (although hopefully I won't need it) on Sunday. Wheaton, the place where my friend lives, is about a 45 minute drive from Chicago, so I'm open to anyone in the area who could help.

I don't have much cash to offer as I said, but if there's anything I can do in return for a place to stay, I'll do my best. For those who don't know me, my name's Matt (of course), I'm 18, and I live in Rochester, which is right by the state capital, Springfield. I'm into music (mostly rock, but I like a little of everything), wrestling, sports, and video games... you know, par for the course around here. I tend to get along with pretty much everyone. If anyone can help and would like to contact me, my e-mail address is [email protected]. My AIM name is X Matt Young X. I realize this is a long shot and is on very short notice, but I don't have anywhere else to turn. I guess I'll just wait and see if anyone replies.

Your friend doesn't have any friends who would let you crash at their place? You can't sneak in your friends room once the parents fall asleep? Just some suggestions.

Yeah, well I'm desperate. There is still a small chance that my friend or one of his friends can give me a place to crash, but it doesn't seem likely so I'm trying to cover all the bases since it's a fairly important trip.

Dude, you shouldn't wait till the last minute to post shit like this. I live in Rockford and might of been able to hook you up but I will be MIA on Saturday. You could crash in the dog house since the dog is coming w/ me. You could probally crash at the Dekalb(NIU) Oaisis parking lot on I88.. There has got to be a no-tell motel to offers hourly rates somewhere in Wheaton.

Well, I thought I was going to have a place to stay until not too long ago, which is why I posted this at the last minute. I didn't really expect to have to do this. I appreciate your reply, though. I gues I'll search some for mor cheap/free places to stay, and hope that something comes up.

What kind of friend leaves his friend hanging like this? Stay home.

Do what I do my friend...wander around with the winos and crackheads around the nether regions of Clark Street. And if your balls drop, venture further South. B-)

Just go underground by the art museum and sleep in the train station. That shit is warm.
