Guest gangsteruwa Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I really like COD3. It was the first CZW video (technically videos) I bought, and it was the best 20 dollars I spent in a long time. Im not too sure what the storylines are for the show, since that was my first experience with CZW. My 3 favorite, I don't know if they are the top, are Ruckus, Sick Nick Mondo, and either of the Briscoes (counting 2 as 1). Its hard to say who their top 3 are because its an Indy group and they don't really have CZW loyal wrestlers, except Zandig, Wifebeater, Mondo, Lobo, the H8 Club, and maybe others. It really isn't a tape for blood marks, but it is a pretty good wrestling tape. The SAT vs Divine Storm and Brian XL match was great.
Guest poopsicle316 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 1) There were a few storylines going in. Justice Pain and Wifebeater were alligned together in the H8 Club until Pain turned on Beater, costing him the CZW Title (there's highlights on the tape). Ruckus and Trent Acid also had a fued that spanned over a few matches and 2 countries, prior to COD3 Ruckus had taken the CZW Jr. Title from Acid. 2) The top 3 wrestlers? Hmmm, I'd say Justice Pain, Trent Acid, and Johnny Kashmere (keep in mind I consider them to be the best, not my favorites). 3) It's a bit long, but MANY good matches. You will enjoy the tape very much.
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I was in attendance that night. It was a great show , and my first in the ECW Arena. After being a long time ECW fan the aura of the building added to the big time feel of the show. You should enjoy it , but hopefully you didn't order it from OTTR because if so you may have to wait a month or so before you get to see it. Russell
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 22, 2002 In the 3 months since that show's happened have they followed up any on the ECW angle they had going? Top 3 workers: 1) Trent Acid 2) Justice Pain 3) Nick Berk in my humble opinion anyway. I hope you ordered from Smartmark and not OTTR...OTTR masters are just smart mark first gens anyway. Guest Report post Posted March 22, 2002 Yeah , they have followed up on some of the angles. Lobo and Zandig eventually had a match to determine the owner of CZW at February's " This Time It's Personal " where Lobo scored a victory. They dropped the ECW angle , though. XPW's Messiah also debuted at Jan's " Accepting The challenge". CZW's angle developments haven't been logical lately , but hopefully this next show will be good. If you want to follow CZW angles you should check out their website or www.czwnews.com The only reason to order from OTTR is the jazzy covers , which I'm a sucker for. Unfortunately because of this I'm still waiting for some tapes I ordered in mid Feb. Russell
Guest Report post Posted March 22, 2002 Oh , and the top 3 workers in the promotion are : 1. Trent Acid ( major WWF prospect if they give him a look.) 2. Nick Gage 3. Justice Pain The Briscoes and Ruckus are also great and when Mondo is on he's entertaining too. Russell
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 22, 2002 I hate when these indys start up what could be a big angle and for one reason or another don't/can't follow through on it. The thing with Gordon, Sandman, and the other ECW has beens could have been great. Top 10 CZW workers in my opinion (I'm so bored) 1 Trent Acid 2 Justice Pain 3 Nick Berk 4 Nick Mondo 5 Johnny Kashmere 6 Jay Briscoe 7 Ruckus...fat cruiserweights kick ass 8 W*inger 9 (tie) Doomsday Danny Rose & Adam Flash 10 Nick Gage Not ready to count Jerry Lynn and other guys who haven't been there any length of time. Guest Report post Posted March 22, 2002 Yeah , I liked that angle. i think one of their big problems with the angle was that at the show there were a lot of ECW chants. The arena was maybe split between CZW chants and ECW ones. I don't think they wanted to have fans turn against them even in an angle , not to mention that using ECW guys and the name could have supported the arguement that CZW is just a blatant rip off of ECW ( an arguement that , even though I'm a a big CZW fan , I feel has merit ) especially since they're running Viking Hall now. Guest Report post Posted March 24, 2002 Adam Flash has wrestled for CZW? Wow...i Might have to get one of their tapes now. Adam Flash is my fav. wrestler right now, indy or otherwise. You should probably get some of his MCW(Maryland Championship Wrestling) stuff, it's pretty good. Julio Dinero is looking nice in MCW right now too.
Guest Report post Posted March 25, 2002 Adam Flash has wrestled at pretty much every show for a long while now. He had a good match at the last show ( Out with the old , In With The New ) against former XPW wrestler Messiah and also had an impressive showing at COD III against Nick Mondo and Nick Berk.
