Guest Stennick Report post Posted March 3, 2003 I just saw Cradle 2 the Grave and without spoiling it I must say that for anyone who enjoys LOTS of action this is the movie for them. There is a few scenes where EVERY character in the movie is being chased, fighting, or doing something extremely important for the movie's sake, its great to see so much character interaction. I will say the one problem I had with the movie is they don't build up the bad guys near as well as the good guys. They make the main bad guy a pretty decent threat by having him kill both good and other bad guys. Other than that though I never really saw any of the other bad guys as serious threats. Anyone else seen it yet? How about the new Eminem song? Lata All, Stennick
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted March 3, 2003 I haven't seen the movie, but I have heard the new Eminem song, and I think it may be the worst song he's ever released. Just horrible.
Guest Luke Cage Report post Posted March 3, 2003 Shouldn't the title be spelled "Cradle 2 THA Grave"?
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Report post Posted March 3, 2003 Yes, it should be "Cradle 2 tha Grave". Personally I can't get behind this new generation of martial arts hip hop movies... and the Eminem song does suck.

Personally I can't get behind this new generation of martial arts hip hop movies... and the Eminem song does suck. In a nutshell, there is a demographic to be exploited. As long as large groups of people like loud, near incomprehensible "rap" grunted and growled at them while seizure inducing "action" sequences flash on screen, expect more of the same. Guest Zack Malibu Report post Posted March 3, 2003 I liked the movie. It had a similar cast to Exit Wounds, which IMO was a good actioner, one of Segal's better efforts for sure. I'm gonna place a SPOILER WARNING in this post, so don't read on if you plan on seeing this... I liked DMX's character, willing to go to any length to get his daughter back. I was pretty disappointed that they never explained why he was a criminal in the first place. At least in Exit Wounds, you got his whole backstory, and knew his motivation. The fight scene with the midget had everyone in our theater dying. The ensuing fight with the UFC guys was awesome, but I think I was the only person there who recognized who those guys actually were. The interaction of Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson was good, but not as funny as Exit Wounds (and they openly were trying to spoof that ending). Anderson is a great talent, and was hilarious in his roles as the diversion (I was laughing my ass off at what he had to do in the beginning). All in all, I liked it. A definite DVD buy for me once it comes out.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted March 3, 2003 Some notes: I thought DMX did a decent job, especially during the scenes with his Daughter. Jet Li does an excellent job as always. I thought that the movie could have used a little more Mark Dacascos(But he made up for that during the final fight scene) & Kelly Hu(Who did what she could with the lines she was given). Tom Arnold + Anthony Anderson = Gold. They work well together. I also feel that Li and Dacascos worked well together during their final fight scene. But they went a little overboard at the end of it. It was decent, and will be picked up on DVD.
