Guest Report post Posted March 19, 2002 Hmmmmmmmmmm. Not sure on that one. I think he has the charisma to, but I still think it will be at least another 2 years b4 he can be challenging for the World title. I still think his moves are rather limited, compared to Angle, Jericho, Booker and a returning Beniot who I think will be in front of him for WWF title reigns. However you never Know. With two big pinfall victories these past few days and an Angle feud on the horizon, Edge may be closer than we think. However if the feud with angle doesn't work I think we can safely assume, Mid Card duty for some time for Edge.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 19, 2002 Edge is going to have the same problems RVD, Benoit and now Jericho have: Hogan, Nash, HHH.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I think he'll be able to step up when they give him the ball. The entire Invasion angle ended up kinda "Billy Gunn"-ing the first half of his KotR reign. But the fact that they haven't mentioned that he is the reigning KotR since is probably a good sign, since it demonstrates that he doesn't need to use the title as a crutch, like the aforementioned Billy Gunn did. Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I like Edge, but i don't see him as main eventer material. Now Christian on the other hand...
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I see Edge going the Michaels route. The slow build. He should have a major PPV title shot within two years and main event WM level material 3-4 years from now. Based on the route that Michaels took, 1st WM was 8 in a low match against Tito (we can use Edge's match against the Book as a parallel, he got a Royal Rumble title shot in 19?? (any help?) and then main evented WM11, then 12. Edge needs to constantly improve along the way too and have those breakout matches.
Guest Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I think that is Edge's problem he hasn't as far as I canm remember had any stand out single matches. A feud with Angle may change that.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I don't think Edge will be at the top for another two years at least. There are two many WWF superstars who could easily be WWF Champion and they are all far more skilled than Edge.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I know this...The WWF wants him to be. Maybe not within the year...but they want him as a top guy in the future. I don't see anything wrong with that...but lately Edge has gotten super stale. He needs a heel turn and a series with RVD over the IC belt. THat should help both of them. Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Excuse me? No no no no no. Angle has his little Midcard fued of the year, it's time for him to go back into the main event. Rock and Hogan look like they'll be tied up with the nWo for the foreseeable future. He just feuded with HHH, and him and Austin have done things to death. Angle's not gonna be in main event again for quite a while, it looks like. Good.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 According to various sources, if Kurt stays on this path, his May feud will be with Shawn Stasiak, and Shawn will get that Survivor Series 99 job back, setting Kurt up for his June feud with Raven.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Correction-Instead of Raven, it will be Justin Credible.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 OH YAY. From Kane to Edge. Kurt is being destroyed. Does anyone know if he is in the Doghouse? Im not trying to give you a hard time but I thought in the Val jobs to Angle post you said Edge would be better? Is Edge a step down from Kane? According to various sources, if Kurt stays on this path, his May feud will be with Shawn Stasiak, and Shawn will get that Survivor Series 99 job back, setting Kurt up for his June feud with Raven. too funny do you want to add Tazz to that list? Im not trying to give you a hard time but I thought in the Val jobs to Angle post you said Edge would be better? Is Edge a step down from Kane?t? Because after being in a lower midcard match at Mania, Kurt NEEDS to be back in the Main Event to regain his cred. He can't go from one Lower midcard match to another. too funny do you want to add Tazz to that list? Tazz refuses to work with people lower then him.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 This Just In: Credible is injured, so they decided that Crash should get his jobs back from Kurt.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Immediately following Crash's squash wins, Kurt will then enter a program with Molly, who will kick his ass.
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 20, 2002 does he owe any payback to Steph somehow? He may be able to give those back in a title match against her.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I don't think so... BUT he did Olympic Slam Lita. She needs her heat back. Maybe she can break Kurt's neck and get this over with.

Guest notJames Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I don't think it's a matter of Edge having stand-out matches. Although his style is a bit stale when compared to others in the upper midcard. I think it's more the feuds he's been given and the way they've been played out. His program with Regal was okay, but the style clash kinda put a damper on their heat. His pseudo high-flyer act just didn't mesh with Regal's submission-based techniques. And the whole "brass knuckles on a pole" just killed the feud for me, so much that I was hoping Regal would win just so they could move on. I don't have to tell you how nonsensical the "shampoo" feud with Booker T was, either. It might have been more beneficial to both parties if they concentrated on who their characters were: Booker T chasing the World title and constantly failing, Edge the wise-cracking rising star riding Booker for his failure. Blammo, instant credible feud. No shampoo, no more tears, decent wrestling...if they could just do away with that botched 'rana. Ouch. A little tweaking of Edge's wise-cracking, a little evolution of his moveset (and get rid of that half-nelson bulldog... it looks awkward and the physics make it look impossible to pull off on an opponent cleanly), and Edge could be getting that push everyone thinks he's ready for. $0.
Guest One Bad Apple Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Hey, jackass, we got the idea in your first post about it. And why is it good that Kurt's going to be a midcard joke? It's good he's in the midcard because they're not trying to shoehorn him into the main events when there's no room for him. And because it makes you upset. How does being a midcarder make you a joke, by the way? Or were you saying Kurt himself is the joke because he's in the midcard? Why can't he and Austin go at it again? Because people get sick of things. OH YAY. From Kane to Edge. Kurt is being destroyed. Does anyone know if he is in the Doghouse? How do you him feuding with Edge mean he's in the "doghouse"? Like I said ... there's no room in the main event for him. Because after being in a lower midcard match at Mania, Kurt NEEDS to be back in the Main Event to regain his cred. He can't go from one Lower midcard match to another. What "cred" does he need to regain? When Rock feuded with Test and beat him, did that hurt his "cred"? And Edge and Kane are lower midcard?! Geez ... stop being a jackass and open your eyes. I don't know why me or anyone bothers with you. I almost regret defending you in "No cruiser match at mania" thread. Guest muzanisa Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Not had a stand out singles match. His character is corny but not in a good way. His mix skills seem to be take the piss out of someone in the manner of a five year old but no-one comes back at him (it must be great to be a scripted smartarse). Needs to change all that before becoming a headliner.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 20, 2002 How does being a midcarder make you a joke, by the way? Or were you saying Kurt himself is the joke because he's in the midcard? Who the #### says I want to go to the WWF and start a midcard feud! Especially if you are a two time former WWF champ. If there is no room in the WWF Main event, let Kurt take time off to train for the Olympics.
Guest Report post Posted March 20, 2002 I think it's pretty safe to say Kurt Angle is the #1 heel in the WWF. Nobody gets the heat he does, not nWo, not Jericho, maybe Steph & Vince but they aren't Wrestlers so screw them. Angle more then deserves to be at the top somewhere and he probably will be after the spilt. As Far as Edge goes. I don't feel Edge. Maybe because his fued with Regal killed me but WWf has a hard on for Edge and Regal so they will be pushed. Matter of Fact, Regal just won the European title Again on smackdown. I dunno why they push Regal when his matches gather no heat. I say put the Euro title on someone new like Storm or even Brock Lesner and let Brock kill everyone and give the title some meaning again. But, Edge as a Main event? He might get jobbed out a few times on RAW or Smackdown for the title but I don't see him headlining a PPV for a long time to come, if EVER.
