Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Forget an injury angle. Forget a match. Just do something with class. Angle seems to be the kind of guy who'll do anything to keep his belt..because he respects it that much. Just have him vacate the damn thing, and put the winner of a tournament (or whatever) against Lesnar at WM. It will be with class. Angle gets taken out tonight...Angle comes out on SD in his hometown next week, forefits the title ala HBK, and makes his fairwell speech. Puts Angle over huge as a sympthetic babyface (Trust me...fans will remember when he returns) and it makes Benoit a heel monster instantly. His hometown...ahhh... I'm going to be there, and even though Angle won't wrestle, I'm going to love to be there for his last WWE appearance of 2003. I hope that's what they do. i hope they do that as well
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 At least Angle is still afraid of Brock. I can smell the dignity of this title reign from here.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Earlier tonight at the WWE Smackdown taping, it was announced that Kurt Angle will defend the WWE Title against Brock Lesnar, but not at WrestleMania. The two will go one-on-one on the March 13th edition of Smackdown. Angle will apparently gut out one final match before having surgery on his neck. He will then be out for at least a year. The plan right now seems to be to have Angle lose the belt to Brock on 3/13, and then have Brock go on to work a new program for WrestleMania. We will have full Smackdown taping results later on tonight. Credit: Mike Johnson & 1wrestling.com
Guest DerangedHermit Report post Posted March 5, 2003 How about this for next week: - Lesnar vs. Angle: Fingerpoke of Doom II~! They could go at it in different ways (Brock and Team Angle screwing Heyman - turns Angle face, keeps Lesnar face or Heyman convincing Brock to come back to the dark side - turns Lesnar heel and keeps Angle as a heel; #1 contender could be named later - Benoit or Rhyno); sure it wouldn't make sense but what does in the WWE now? Guest tpww7 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Brock Lesnar vs. Paul Heyman (Steel-Cage) Match starts off with Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas running into the cage and in the ring to attack Lesnar. Kurt Angle is on the outside instructing his Team Angle running buddies. Eventually, Lesnar throws Haas and Benjamin out of the cage and goes after Paul Heyman on the outside. Angle attacks Lesnar from behind, but Lesnar eventually gets the better of Angle. Somewhere along the lines, Lesnar opened up Angle's ear. Lesnar finally gets Heyman into the cage and locks the door and the match is on. Lesnar beats up Heyman for a while before Angle gets in the cage and gets Lesnar in the ankle lock. While in the ankle lock, Lesnar has a hold of Heyman who is trying to escape the cage. Heyman eventually climbs the cage to escape, but Lesnar climbs up after him and gets him back in the ring. Match ends when Lesnar hits the F-5 on Heyman for the pinfall victory. This gives Brock Lesnar the match against Kurt Angle next week on SmackDown! for the WWE title. Winner via pinfall - Brock Lesnar
Invictus 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Sweet mother no. I can't believe they are going to make Kurt wrestle. Well, he's as good as dead with Mister Delicate Brock Lesnar. Screw the WWE. I'm about close to done with them.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 So now he has to end this terrible feud where he has been embarrassed every show by losing the title...while injured severly...in his hometown... Anglesault just killed himself as a result of this. The ULTIMATE humiliation.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I never did understand the sheep in that way. Lesnar's a real man, allright. A 6'3", 300lb-ish guy beating the hell out of a bald, fat guy that's not even a wrestler.

Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 There are various ways this could go... Each one I am not happy with... I was really looking forward to Brock vs. Angle @ WM and had high hopes for the feud... Have Angle come out and start Smackdown with his farewell speech. No gimmick, no "mysterious attacker". Then when he is about done have Benoit come out - have the announcers play it up like "these two men have had absolute mat wars, the respect they have for each other you can cut with a knife"... But have Benoit laugh at him. Have Benoit laugh because even though he lost the battle at the Royal Rumble, he can't help but feel he won the war... After all, it was all those German Suplexes which did it... All those times Benoit dropped Kurt on his head. Benoit survived the wars, Angle didn't. Benoits been there, he knows the hell that Angle will go through - meanwhile, Benoit will get more title shots - infact, his new agent just arranged one... Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 This is the same company that had Triple H screw a corpse, wrestlers and announcers kissing Vince McMahon's ass, Ass Cream, Angle's pants being pulled down week after week, an attempted gay wedding angle.. Need I go on? Humilliating the guy that's been carrying the company on his back for a long while isn't even a hard decision for these bastards.
Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 heres hopin they dont actually go through with this... there is still a chance for angle to come out and give a farewell speech and forfeit the title saying he can't compete and .. ahh who am I kidding... Angle is gonna get squashed next week... and on my birthday of all days... F U VINCE!

Match ends when Lesnar hits the F-5 on Heyman for the pinfall victory. This gives Brock Lesnar the match against Kurt Angle next week on SmackDown! for the WWE title. Winner via pinfall - Brock Lesnar Wow, I'm speechless. Angle is all over in this match actually fighting Lesnar, so they keep building up this feud for next week and an actual match between the two. Unfuckingbelievable, and in the worst way possible. Like I said before, if Angle is going to be good enough to actually work a match, then it should be with Benoit. Taking an F-5 with a bad neck is about as bad as a release german depending on how you land. But to sell the move credibly you have to land on the side of your head and neck from what I can see, oh yeah and with basically no protection. Like I already said, the Crossface would actually be safer than taking a flying bump like an F-5, just because Angle could totally control how far back with it he could go. I understand how Angle feels bad about not being able to make the Mania match, but he should be smart enough to realize that blowing things off like this is just not right.........I wish he would stand up for the decision for the match next week for his own good and health. If he has a doctors recomendation that he doesn't work another match until this injury is all healed, he shouldn't be talked into it by WWE nor should he suggest it or demand it for feeling bad about Lesnar's apparent win at Mania that wont happen now with Angle. Then again we still might see some injury angle or something before the match so who knows.
Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted March 5, 2003 They COULD.. But Angle isn't 6'6"+, 300lbs, or a "legend" so he's screwed.
Guest HartFan86 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Well, here was my updated plot for Kurt Angle/Benoit/Lesnar....but since Angle is actually gunna do this next week, it's pointless: Turning Benoit heel...That's the last thing they need to do UNLESS they do a thing where Angle is found backstage (just like Edge) with the hurt neck and laid out and Benoit is revealed to be the assaliant. Benoit is bitter that he had to have neck surgery, so he's going after people's necks. Edge...Angle....now he wants Brock. And they can just explain that Benoit was just setting Edge up as a pawn because he is the far greater Canadian then Edge will ever be AND it gives Angle more crediblity when he makes his farewell speech on SD in Pittsburgh (He wasn't lying...he really didn't attack Edge). And Benoit took out Angle because he: 1. Wants the title. 2. Wants to break Brock's neck. Angle comes out on SD in his hometown next week, forefits the title ala HBK, and makes his fairwell speech. Puts Angle over huge as a sympthetic babyface (Trust me...fans will remember when he returns) and it makes Benoit a heel monster instantly. They can build this up really nice and the pyschology is already built up for the match: Brock's neck. Hell, have Benoit give Brock the Full Nelson Release Suplex on the Smackdown before Wrestlemania to hype the match and end the program with Benoit standing over him. And the match, like I said, will have excellent pyschology with the matwork and into the neck with Benoit pulling out all his crazy neck work shit (Tiger Suplex, Dragon Suplex...big work building up to the Crossface). Oh well. I just hope Kurt doesn't fuck himself up to the point that this is the last time we ever see him again in a WWE ring.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted March 5, 2003 This is Donkey Kong's oppertunity to show whether he can be a company man or not. Personally, I wish they'd put the belt on Benoit as a transitionary champ just because I know Benoit will lay off the Germans and won't leave Kurt with a snapped neck. At the same time, if Donkey Kong fucks this up, he can count his push goodbye.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Way to go Vince. Give away the last remaining big spot on free tv. Much better than making people pay to see it. Yeah I know, if they go through with the match, they are fucking out of their minds. Not only is there a major risk of putting Angle in there with Lesnar with the injury, but it basically kills off any hope of a feud that would be a year and a half in the making of a storyline if they would hold it off and do it at Mania XX. Feeding Angle to Lesnar next week is the biggest mistake I've seen them do in a long time, and thats saying ALOT.
Invictus 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Vince: "Kurt, you gotta go out there and do one last match to drop the title to Brock Lesnar." Kurt: "But Vince, my arm is numb and I can't feel my legs. I think I may have cracked some vertabrae in my neck..." Vince:"Come on you pussy, that's nothing. Hell, HHH says he wrestles with those injuries all the time! Gut it out, pussy!" Kurt: "Well, I really shouldn't. The doctor says I can't wrestle even one more match." Vince: "Damn that Dr. Youngblood, interferring with my wrestlers dreams! We are never using him again! Now, you're going to drop the title to Lesnar, or you'reeee FIRRREEED!" Damn you WWE! Damn you!
