Guest Marshall Report post Posted March 5, 2003 electronicbonanza.com I just got emailed the link by a random stanger. It seems too good to be true. I almost rushed in and got something. I want to know if its for real before I give them my money. I think it's a fairly new site or it'd be everywhere. What do you think?
Guest Downhome Report post Posted March 5, 2003 Whoever came up with that really has an idea, lol. If they can get word out on it, they could make a LOT of money. Take the GameCube "project" for instance. Everyone signs up, and once 20 people sign up, the guy up top get's his GameCube, for only $20. However, the person who is running this has made $400 by doing this. The "cycle" has to go through again (meaning 20 more people has to join), and once that's done, the next person (the one under the guy who got his GameCube already) then gets his. By now, the guy running this has made $800 total, minus $300 for the two GameCubes (if he sends new ones), and he has a profit of $500. Since the people will want to get their GameCube ASAP, they will tell EVERYONE they know about this, they will tell someone, and so on and so on. What they are basicly doing is advertising for the guy who is running this thus giving him more profit, just in hopes that they get THEIR GameCube sooner. Apply the above concept to each item, and it's the same thing, with the guy making a lot of profit. I suppose this could be legal, legit, and all of that. It seems like some guy who is just trying to come up with a money making plan. From what I can tell this is actually pretty genious, if he can get a LOT of people doing it. Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 5, 2003 That is absolutely remarkable. I'd love to get a Playstation since I had to sell my X-Box on Ebay just to pay one month's bills. Is there any type of hit counter as to how many people have bought stuff? This is a great idea and I may just be dumb enough to use it.

Keep in mind that before you get yours, around 120 people would have to sign up for this little program.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted March 5, 2003 These are pyramids, also known as "matrixes", guys. These things are legit, but it's the amount of turn-around time (when the pyramid comes around to you) that sucks the life out of it. RobJohnstone posted another website with the same premise a few months back...EZExpo.com
Guest Marshall Report post Posted March 5, 2003 I'm just gonna go for it! I'm gonna put $25 for that DVD system. What the heck, I don't really need it so it might be a nice suprise if it shows up at my door in a few months. Anyone else in?
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I'm shelling out $25 for either that or a Playstation soon....
Guest Crux Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I saw something about this on 20/20 or Dateline...it was a scam. *shrug* Maybe this is different.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted March 6, 2003 Pyramid schemes only really benefit the topmost people involved, and leave lower level people to get the shaft. Some people working for my community college got arrested because of their involvement in a similar scheme. They were notably high in the pyramid, but I don't remember the details, so take my information as you will.

It’s a great idea; I’m seriously considering copying this guy’s idea, but when does it end? For everyone to get their stuff it’d have to go on for every. Sure, you’d make a lot of money, but you couldn’t end it without ripping the people at the bottom of the list off. Or paying them their money back. Any thoughts?
