For those of you that saw the first part or even if you haven't. Part 2 of Animatrix is up and ready to be viewed. Once again, the download is huge so if you don't have a fastspeed connection you mine as well just start the download before you go to bed and then just watch it in the morning. Hmm. Largely disappointing, but that may only be because the first installment was so interesting. The art was beautiful but unspectacular; it resembled many other anime, which seemed take away from it (as the first installment seemed to have a very distinctive style). I hesitate to say that the twist was obvious as that seems pretentious (and obviousness does not necessarily mean bad or poor writing), but it was.

 

They put their best foot forward with the first installment and probably made the right decision is splitting it in half to make viewers come back (anyone know when the second half comes out?). Had I seen this installment first, I probably wouldn't have been so excited to see the rest. I mean, it was enjoyable, but not in the same way.
