Guest Brian Report post Posted March 19, 2002 I'm posting all my old WWF fantasy bookings right now. I'll mark new ones when they come in. I'm caught up to the Royal Rumble right now. SmackDown 12/20/01 Vince’s music hits and he comes down to the ring with Commissioner Foley. Commissioner Regal is already in the ring ready to proceed with the drawings. Vince says that tonight everyone’s Olympic hero and role model will draw. Just to check that Regal didn’t rig the drawings, he should draw first. Regal reaches in and pulls out number 30. Vince throws a fit, then calls out Angle to draw. Angle draws his number, but doesn’t show the fans. Shamrock runs out, and everyone bails except Foley. Shamrock pulls out a number, looks at it, and throws it at Angle. Angle catches, stares at it, then drops both numbers in horror. The camera zooms in on the two balls. Number nine and ten. <Commercial Break> Vince is talking to Regal and Angle. He says that after what Shamrock did running in during their drawing, they should work as a tag team against him. Angle agrees. Tag Team Championship Dudleys vs. the Hollys The Dudleys win at 5:32 with a belt shot to Crash. Ric Flair arrives backstage. <Commercial Break> Ric Flair comes out to the ring. Ric hypes the Rey/Tajiri showdown. He says that rather than force the rest of the wrestlers to pick their numbers on air, he will adhere to the tradition of the rumble and allow the fans to be surprised. Just as important, on Monday RAW, the first winner of the cruiserweight tournament champion will be coronated. Also on RAW there will be a number one contender’s match for the tag team championships between the Impact Players and Chuck Palumbo & Sean O’Haire. X-Pac is shown backstage watching on the monitor. He tells a stagehand that the tournament should have put focus on him since the winner will “just be laying down for me in the end.” <Commercial Break> Rey is shown backstage talking to Juventud and Chavo. Rey says that tonight will be his night, and that finally he gets Tajiri one-on-one. Eddie walks in and tells Rey that this could make his WWF career. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy Ross emphasizes that this will be a friendly bout between the two. Both men shake, but Matt pulls him in for a headlock. Jeff works him to the ropes and whips him across. Knockdown by Jeff as Matt comes back. They work a very basic match with lots of highspots and chain style sequences interspersed. Jeff wins when he schoolboys Matt up after breaking out of the Twist of Fate in mid-motion at 6:48. Jeff rolls out of the ring and celebrates as Matt looks on pissed. <Commercial Break> Hardcore Championship Bradshaw vs. RVD Bradshaw dominates the meat of the match with his brawling, but RVD manages to make a comeback and pull out a win with the five-star frogsplash at 5:02. <Commercial Break> Cruiserweight Tournament Finals Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. Tajiri Tajiri takes it home when Rey goes for a top rope hurricanrana but Tajiri pushes him off, hits a kick from the second ropes, and three solid kicks to the head at 10:30. The WWF cruiserweights rush down to the ring to congratulate Tajiri; and Tajiri and Rey exchange a handshake at the end of the match. <Commercial Break> We return backstage as Tajiri receives congratulations from Ric Flair. Intercontinental Championship Eddie Guerrero vs. Edge vs. Christian All three men are on the ground as Christian rolls over (Edge-O-Matic) to pin Edge (Frog Splash, Eddie) at 8:27. <Commercial Break> Rock/Shamrock vs. Angle/Regal Rock comes down to the ring with a mic and says Shamrock and him have a history, but they better work as a team tonight. He says at the Rumble, he’ll whip both their candyasses no matter what if you smell what the Rock is cooking!!! Regal hits the double-armed powerbomb on Rock at 12:14 after Shamrock decks Rock with a punch after missing Angle, and Angle pushes Shamrock out of the ring. Ross says Regal’s riding a luck streak after what’s happened tonight, and he could even win the rumble. Regal rolls out of the ring as he and Angle lays a beating on Shamrock. The camera fades out on Rock slowly getting up in the ring.
