Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted March 6, 2003 [[The WWE pushes Goldberg like he was still in WCW... they show for weeks the years old offair threats and challenges between Austin and Goldberg from Howard Stern and Jay leno Shows....then Show Goldberg in WCW and Austin in WWE and just push it like it was a Long time coming riviary.]] The problem is, people don't care about those kinds of public pissing contests anymore. It's way past the fact. MchMahon and Bischoff pissed on each other more than anyone, do you see anyone clamoring for a confrontation between those two? Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I don't mind a one time deal with Austin going over Goldberg instead of seeing Austin /Rock for the 100th time again.
Guest The_Radical Report post Posted March 6, 2003 I'd actually like to see Austin vs. Goldberg because the heat would be through the roof for it. It would draw a huge amount of money, but I believe that the match that could have drawn the biggest money (of course it NEVER would have happened) would have been Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair back in 1987 or 1988. Too bad, even Hogan/Flair in 1994 wasn't that huge of draw...this one would have been.
Guest RickyChosyu Report post Posted March 7, 2003 Any chance of you providing any proof of that statement? Do you plan on ignoring the numbers so you can continue making ridiculous claims about heat and drawing power?
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 7, 2003 If my memory is correct, Flair/Hogan at BATB 1994 was the second biggest draw in WCW history to Hogan/Sting at Starrcade 1997.

Only making a point that they were the two most "over" guys in any particular time frame and the money from that meeting would have been huge. Don't forget it would have had to have been a cross-promotional match as well, which would just add to the draw. By the way, I wasn't stating it as fact dude, it was an opinion, so I don't consider myself to be making ridiculous claims, just opinionated one's.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 7, 2003 Personally I don't want to see Goldberg in WWE b/c he is not a draw anymore and he doesn't have any passion for wrestling, but since Vince can't or doesn't want to create new main eventers anymore then might as well spend a lot of loot on somebody else's creation.
