I don't know, if we're going to do a roster split, we should keep both groups away from each other till the inter-promotional PPVs. If you have issues with those guys, won't it be better if they were just drafted into the side your on?

Seperate PPVs may be kind of hard.

BBP, I dont think anybody would want to switch shows if they were in the middle of a "red hot feud". They'd probably wait until after the feud finished.

I think its a great idea. It'll freshen things up, and if it doesnt work we can always go back.

If Superstar still needs an assistant for his show, I'd volunteer, as we worked together on OAOMEF.

I don't see how, but I say let's give it a shot, if that doesn't work, we could always go back to normal PPVs.

Good idea, ME. A team of SS, ME & AP could be used for HD, if you all wanted. We could

even give you guys the OAOAST General Discussion folder, so things won't get jammed here.

im inclined to agree with angleplex...lets keep ppv's non brand specific

if we wind up with 15 match ppv's then we know we can split

So if we're (nearly) all agreed on a split, we need to decide on:

1. Brand specific PPVs or not

2. Single floating champion, or two

3. What titles go on each show

4. How to do the draft.

Anything else?

My vote is as follows:

One floating World Champion, and one floating Tag Team title. Both titles have been built up really well (the tag belts especially lately) to desensitize them with two belts. And considering the champions would 9 times out of 10 appear on both shows during the week, I don't feel that it would be much of a problem.

Make the brands not like each other. You see too many Smackdown highlights on RAW, and vice versa. Play off the competitive aspect. For example, if Los Infernales were feuding with the IZ team of say, Jailbait and Mad Cappa, then HeldDOWN could say "these two, embroiled in a heated feud, but they may not make it off of HeldDOWN with those belts!". Less is more. The less references we have, the more intriguing and believable the PPV's will be.

The brand that does not have the PPV that month could have the option of doing a Clash of the Champions style show. WWF and NWA/WCW used to do this all the time, trying to counter the rivals PPV with a free TV show. We should bring that back.

IZ should be home of the North American Title, while HeldDOWN should show the X Title. I'm not saying that IZ shouldn't have Sports Entertainment segments, or that HeldDOWN needs to have sensational gimmicks each week, but we should make sure to distinguish the brands.

As I've said before, we should draft all tag teams as a unit. The division has just started getting better, and I would not want to ruin it, nor do I think our roster would be too keen about splitting up a newly formed team right away.

The champions should be the only ones who float. I suppose you can get away with the "rival competitor sits in the crowd" gimmick, but as far as rival run-ins, that should be kept to the bare minimum, such as before an interpromotional event.

Interpromotional events would be hyped on both shows.

I don't think that people should pick what show they go on. Both booking commitees should have a fair mix of producers, that way there is no butting heads. Same rules apply, that the roster is responsible for coming up with 99% of their ideas. As producers, we organize and suggest.

Concerning trades...we should not get trade crazy. When champions lose their belts, they take the spot of the guy/guys that won it. If Superstar beat AS for the title, and SS was on IZ, then AS automatically goes to IZ.

We can do the free agent gimmick for newcomers, but after a while it would get old. We're also good recruiters as of late, so if the producers or a member of the roster want to invite someone into the company, go for it. There's your "shoot" competitive aspect right there. If Agnes talked to bps21, and bps wanted to join, then Agnes can say "Join my show". If that means IZ gets an extra guy than HeldDOWN, so be it. Surprises of course, would be discussed with the producers before the show the new guy is to debut on, but I see nothing wrong with trying to get ahead by bringing someone new into the fed.

Those are pretty much all my thoughts for now. Should I come up with more, I'll post it, natch. Otherwise, let me know what you guys think of these suggestions.

You have given me a great idea for my promo after Anglemania. Don't be offended.

okay, I think that can work out pretty well

Now more stuff

We shouldnt split off IMMEDIATELY after AM2, if we want this to work storyline wise

I say have AS go really crazy, and threaten to shut everything down, have the debuting guy i know about come in, and say the next week, they demand their own brands

we can then by this time have an idea of who is with who on what shows, and do a draft show on IZ the next week, with the rival helddown premiering later on that week, whnever the day is set

i agree with not jumping and not having people appearing much on rival shows...when such occurs it will be for effect and to heighten a feud, already talking with tony about how to get it to work

thanks for putting all of that together zack, i think thatll work nicely.

and i guess to whoever is x champ or na champ...well, you dont get to make a decision

:)

I want to float in between both shows. I will write a promo after Anglemania to bitch about everything, leaving no one to draft me to their show. Does that sound good? Oh yeah I originally voted no, but now I'm all for it.

Mario:

Only the World and Tag Team champs will float. An idea for you though, is to be drafted to the brand you DIDN'T want to be on, and you can be a menacing heel, doing everything in your power to make things go wrong on that show. That way you evolve from evil guy to genuine shit-stirrer.

I like Zack's idea. Especially the idea of having the group who doesn't have that month's PPV do a Clash of the Champions type show. I still think each brand should have their own PPV, but I could live without it... But I want to do it. :)

1. Brand specific PPVs or not

2. Single floating champion, or two

3. What titles go on each show

4. How to do the draft.

1. I would say not, just because I don't want to see the OAOAST go totally seperate.

2. I think I was the only one that suggested 2 champions. Floating seems to be the way to go on this one.

3. I'd still say North American is exclusive to IZ, X is esclusive to HD, but that's just me.

4. No idea.

Okay. Updated PPV idea: both brands would appear on the PPV, but with their own announcers broadcasting their matches; J.R. & Jesse for IZ; whoever for HeldDOWN.

The NA title will go to IZ, the X-Title goes to HD, I assume once again re-named the TV title.

The draft: We still gotta figure this one out. But I say, the folks who will operate the shows (BPP, Zack & SM; SS, ME & AP, if he wants), do a mock draft before we write it for TV, where we draft tag teams first then figure out where singles wrestlers go.

I'd like to be involved in the drafting process, but we should really ask everyone what show they would prefer first, so we can try to get them on that show.

The PPV idea is awesome too.

The only thing is that Heldown will be getting all "rookie" show organizers pretty much. I've only put 2 shows together, and I'm not 100% sure I could do it very often. It might be a good idea to have either Zack, BBP, or Sandman moved to Heldown so we would have a little more experience, and so one of the Heldown crew could be included in the "pre/post preduction" folder.

EDIT: And where are all the people that voted "no"? I'd like to hear why they voted the way they did.

Awesome. Let's assume AS loses the title. AS that could be good motivation for him to want to shut everything down.

I don't want this to be taken the wrong way, so I apologize if I word it wrong...

I think that each show should have 3 people organizing it, however, IZ seems a little dominant, with me, BPP and SM (three people who have the majority of experience doing the shows) on one show.

I would propose this:

IZ:Organized by BPP, Agnes and Eskimo

HeldDOWN:Organized by Zack, Sandman and Superstar

This way the input is rather equal, there would be more communication with the organizing mods and the organizing roster members, and everyone is on equal footing idea wise. It's a variety of input that would make for less predictable, more exciting shows. Since BPP, Sandman and myself talk about things in Pre/Post Production, I feel it's only fair to divide us three up, and gain the input of AP, Eskimo and SS, who have all had good ideas in the past and as of late.

organized yes...though myself and sandman still plan on doing the trinity angle, which necessitates at least 4 of us on the same show

i dont have a problem who i work with, if im to work with a newb, let it be superstar...after we finally got through the bullshit, we actually had a really productive conversation and i think were coming at things at enough of a different angle to produce something awesome

oh yeah, so umm, why dont zack and agnes and sandman head up IZ, because MOnday nights are a real pain for me to have stuff do, and ill move to HeldDown with superstar and eskimo and see if we cant get that going...

as being pissed off at not being champ, and our new debut coming in would set it up for the split, i just would like 2 iz's to actually do the split storyline-wise

oh yeah, im putting a proposed split roster based on feuds and such up, to kinda get people talking and so we have a base to work with

This Trinity idea can still work with two shows. I've discussed that with you, and that way, it has a slow burn to it, and creates a better atmosphere, IMO. But that's as much as I'll discuss it here.

The main purpose of the split is to allow more room, more creativity, and let the shows flow better. Everyone has been doing a great job of volunteering, and this would only serve to place them in better roles.

My stance on recruiting was also made. The more, the merrier. Any and all TSM'ers are welcome. Except DJ Jeff. Or Alina. Or...well, you catch my drift.

A team of me, Agnes and Sandman should work out fine. I talk to both guys on a regular basis via IM, so putting things together wouldn't be a problem at all. And we can just rotate the weeks that we post, much like we do now with the fed as a whole.

As far as splitting things up feud wise, that may make things look repetitive. Plus, people on the roster may want to end their feuds at, or post AM in order to free themselves up for the split. Don't judge the split based on feuds. Things would seem redundant.

I'm still not totally sure how we'll work the split (random lottery, actual draft, etc.) but I like all the input coming from this scenario. As always, if anyone has anything to say that they may not want to post, I'm available on AIM, or via PM.

Even better. I'll organize the draft, just so it looks like I actually work here, I'll just pull names out of my hat. We could also make it look like I'm trying to sabatoge the OAOAST.

Well I'm not sure exactly how to work the draft. And just because me, Agnes and Sandman are organizing IZ, does not mean we would be on that show. AP could be on HeldDOWN, etc. Organization and your character are two seperate things. I appreciate the offer Mario, but right now having the Organizers do a "live" draft on the boards seems to be the way to go.

I voted no, but that was before I read the posts, and I thought this idea wasn't going to fly. Mario voted no too, but he has since said he likes it now.

I'm still not sure about the draft. The rosters should have their fair share of veterans, so one show isn't fully rookies. I guess we could ask people where they would like to go, create the rosters, then see if everybody agrees.

One last thing, wait till you read my promo the day after Anglemania. I'm thinking the draft organizers should get in a match, and the losing team gets me and whatever trouble I bring.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, I said some things in the NHB folder, that doesent apply to the OAOAST.
