Shamrock thinks he can just interfere during the Rock’s match and then attack him afterwards. Rock wants an explanation tonight. Shamrock makes an entrance, and says it was something he had to do. He couldn’t let Jericho have the opportunity to beat the Rock and ruin his match at the Royal Rumble. Rock says if Shamrock wants a shot at the title, then they can go at it tonight. Angle watches on in the back. He mumbles to himself that if Shamrock hadn’t cowardly pushed him out of the ring last Thursday, he would have beat Triple H. Triple H comes from behind and says if Angle thinks he can beat the Game, they can have a match tonight. Angle tells Hunter, “It’s True, It’s True.” Triple H turns around and Angle bashes him in the back with the monitor. <Commercial Break> Jeff tells Matt that tonight he’s going to take on Sean O’Haire after what happened last week. Matt says that since Jeff scheduled a singles match, he’s got one too against RVD for the hardcore championship. Matt’s seen how Jeff has fared against RVD so far, so he doesn’t think he’ll need any pointers. Matt walks off. Tajiri/Eddie vs. X-Pac/Christian JR says that as intercontinental champion, Christian must appear for all his scheduled matches. Match ends when X-Pac hits the X-Factor on Tajiri as he prepaes to hit the X-Factor at 9:00. <Commercial Break> Shamrock arrives in his locker room, only to get ambushed by Angle who runs him into a wall and runs away. Hardcore Championship Matt Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam Matt Hardy has Rob Van Dam in twist of fate position when O’Haire and Palumbo rush the ring. They beat down Matt and toss RVD to the outside. They continue to beat him down until Jeff runs to the ring with a chair. He lays out Palumbo, but misses O’Haire who slides out of the ring. O’Haire and Palumbo retreat. He turns to Matt, helps him up, then clobbers him with the chair. Lita runs down to the ring and gets Jeff out of the ring. RVD, looking onward from the apron, gets to the top and hits the five-star frog splash for the win at 7:57. Chris Jericho arrives backstage only to be escorted away by security. Jericho asks them if they know who he is, a living legend, the WCW champion. Security tells him this is a WWF event, and only Vince McMahon’s WWF superstars are allowed to enter the arena. Jericho throws a fit, then hits both security guards with belt shots and walks away. <Commercial Break> Matt Hardy goes wild in the locker room as referees try to restrain him. Matt lays them out. Foley tries to get behind him but Matt knocks him down with a right hand. Foley holds his cheek and tells Matt to pack his bags because he’s suspended until the Royal Rumble. <Commercial Break> Angle comes out to the ring. He says that in three weeks, everyone’s Olympic hero will be the WWF champion again. But tonight, Angle has to face HHH. HHH’s music hits and tonight, HHH says that he will wipe Angle’s face in the floor. He heads down to the ring and Angle slides out. HHH says that tonight, like at the rumble, the Game will come out on top, as the only man left standing. Angle says if Triple H wants a last man standing match tonight, he’ll go for it. Vince interrupts and says the fans don’t deserve that type of match. Vince says that they’ll get a normal match tonight, one-on-one. <Commercial Break> Christian walks by Angle and tells him that Shamrock just woke up and is on a rampage backstage. Angle listens with a frightened expression. Jeff Hardy vs. Sean O’Haire Jeff wins after he hits a swanton bomb following a lita-canrana at 6:32. The King says Jeff just took O’Haire’s move. <Commercial Break> HHH vs. Kurt Angle Angle gets distracted by the titantron, where Shamrock is shown wrecking everything in sight. Angle turns around to get a HHH pedigree for the pin at 11:36. <Commercial Break> WWF Championship Shamrock vs. the Rock Rock wins at 16:21 when Angle slides a chair into the ring and Rock hits the spinebuster on it and collapses into a pin.
