Guest Brian Report post Posted March 19, 2002 WWF Raw – 1/7/02 X-Pac comes down to the ring with a mic. He says that tonight, he’s picked out four possible number one contender’s for a match tonight. “Right now,” he screams, “Helms, Juventud, Chavo, and Daniels will meet in this ring for a match at RAW.” X-Pac heads to the announcer’s table for commentary. Tenay asks X-Pac why Rey Mysterio Jr. isn’t involved, but X-Pac changes topics. Helms vs. Juventud vs. Chavo vs. Daniels A trainwreck of spots throughout the match. At 2:35, Daniels pulls off a fall broken by Chavo after hitting the Angel’s wing on Chavo. At 5:50, Juventud gets a fall broken by X-Pac after a 450 splash. X-Pac pulls Juventud out, brawls, clears the Spanish announce table and goes for a powerbomb from the other announce table. Juventud reverses it into a hurricanrana. Back in the ring, Chavo wins at 8:13 when he rolls up a dazed Juventud Guerrera who Daniels hit with a missile dropkick and rolled out of the ring. <Commercial Break> Flair gets a phone call in his office. Vince tells him that none of his titles will be defended for the night. Vince hangs up immediately. Raven vs. Christian Raven wins at 7:01 with an evenflow DDT. Raven celebrates and slides out to grab the intercontinental title and walk up the ramp, but Flair stops him. He yells at Raven that he hasn’t won the title, and tells him it was Vince’s fault. <Commercial Break> The ECW music hits and Paul Heyman is on his way to the ring. He says that ever since Vince asked the ECW superstars to appear on TV and eliminate Flair and company, he’s been shut out. He hasn’t been allowed to enter the arena. Ric Flair is afraid of him, afraid to face him. He says Flair cost one of his guys a title. Flair comes out and says that he didn’t take the title away from Raven. Vince did. He also didn’t keep Heyman out of the arena, because Vince takes care of non-wrestlers. Vince doesn’t like Heyman, he just wants to crush him later. He’s just trying to split Flair. He doesn’t want ECW, he just wants them to do the dirty work. Vince tricked Heyman and he tricked Flair. Heyman storms off by Flair into the backstage area. Booker T and Austin are talking in their locker room. Booker T complains that he has to defend his US championship tonight. Austin tells Booker T to be quiet because he’s going to take care of RVD for him. Booker says that he just doesn’t get any respect. <Commercial Break> Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. deliver a promo in the back. Eddie says that if Vince won’t let him defend the European Championship on both shows, maybe he’ll opt not to go to Vince’s Smackdown. Rey says that Vince can stick it if he doesn’t want cruiserweights on his shows. Rey says that X-Pac is just as bad as McMahon for ignoring him. Palumbo & O’Haire vs. the Dudleys At about 6:10, Justin Credible runs in and hits a superkick on Palumbo and brawls with O’Haire to the outside. D-Von picks up Palumbo and they hit the 3-D for the pin at 6:28. <Commercial Break> Eddie Guerrero vs. Diamond Dallas Page Eddie Guerrero gets crotched on the top ropes by DDP when he attempts to go for the five star frog splash at 7:30. DDP goes for the diamond cutter, but Eddie pushes him off and hits the frog splash but no pin. Eddie finally rolls over for a nearfall. Eddie picks up DDP and whips him into the ropes. Eddie goes for a sleeper but DDP lifts him up and Eddie flips over. DDP gets kicked in the gut and Eddie bounces of the ropes to hit a swinging neckbreaker. DDP pushes him off and hits the diamond cutter for the pin at 9:57. <Commercial Break> United States Championship Booker T vs. Lance Storm Palumbo and O’Haire hit the ring and deliver a double superkick to Lance Storm for the DQ at 8:10. <Commercial Break> Light-Heavyweight Championship Billy Kidman vs. X-Pac X-Pac wins at 9:09 when he low-blows Kidman, hits a DDT onto the belt, and rolls him up using the ropes. Tajiri charges the ring only to have X-Pac slide out. <Commercial Break> Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Rob Van Dam RVD hits Austin with a five-star frogsplash at 12:23. Booker T hits the ring and beats down Van Dam until Triple H makes the save and clears the ring.
