My thoughts on booking the Angle Injury

Here is my thought on what they should do. I think it is logical and would benefit everyone. I welcome other thoughts and ideas but here is mine.

 

 

We all know that they have to get the title off Angle. I just dont like the fact that we have to have the blow off to a four month program on free TV. So what I think they should do is have Angle come out and they should tell everyone about his injury and that he has to forefit the title. At this point the title would be held up and you insert Chris Benoit into Angle's slot. We all know that Lesnar was gonna probably go over anyway. So you put Benoit vs Brock for the vacated title. That way there is still someone to have a good match with and this could heat up the long talked about program for Benoit to get the title or atleast chase for it. The problem there being that one of them might have to switch heel, as it is doubtful you would get much steam out of a long term babyface battle for the belt.

 

What this also gives us is an angle for when Kurt comes back. He would be able to come back and lay claim to the title. Basically that it could still be his and that he wasnt beaten in the ring for the belt. But just taking the WM match and doing it on SD just doesnt sit well with me. Dont blow the fued off now, save for when he comes back.

Should we even expect next week's "match/beatdown/confrontation" to happen?

 

In the back of my mind, I'm assuming that it's just a ratings ploy to lure everyone into watching the show, then bringing Angle's injury and forfeiture to light. Angle's injury will mean more to the viewers this way, because there's no way he should defend it in any sort of physical match-up.

I think its time for a 'One and Only Angle Injury' thread. Next Thursday is a long ways away and you can be sure everyone will be adding their two cents as to what WWE should do.
