I only saw one this week...probably cuz it's the only one worth seeing.

*Training Day - Very cool movie.  Denzel as a bad guy?  How strange....he's pretty good at it, though.  Snoop Dogg and Tom Berenger make cameo appearances for some odd reason.  Anyway, B+

Everything else:

*2001 A Space Travesty - has Leslie Nielsen so it can't be too bad.  Oddly enough, this was on Comedy Central at like 7 am about a month ago.  How did that happen?

*Donnie Darko - looks cool, forgot to rent.  whoops.

*Hunchback Of Notre Dame 2 - and Disney's stock continues to fall...

*I'll Take You There

*Jackie's Back - Jack Black?  COOL!  Oh wait, it's Jackie's Back, nevermind.

*Lena's Dreams

*Riding In Cars With Boys - Didn't see, but my mom thought it was just ok.

*Sleep Easy, Hutch Rimes

I'm still surprised that Toy Story 2 ended up looking so good, given that Disney sequels are normally farmed out to 5th-rate animators.

This week kinda sucks.

what?

TRAINING DAY - a must own.

OZ - first season finally on dvd.

thats all you need to make a great week.

Donnie Darko has already become a cult classic they play it constantly at the "hip" movie theater around here.

I just rented Donnie Darko and I am in awe.  I never could have imagined a movie with Drew Barrymore and Patrick Swayze could be so fucking good.  It's an intense movie that makes you do some work to enjoy it.  ANd once it clicks, you just sit there in amazment.

What the #### is Donny Darko? I've never heard of it. Can someone give a breif review without giving away the ending?

Is it a comedy, horror, murder mystery or what?  By the way this week doesn't sound that bad either.

Compared to the previous weeks, this week sucks...especially to your average Joe, who has only heard of "Training Day."

Donnie Darko is hard to place as a genre... imdb.com lists it as like four genres...

...this movie is really hard to explain without giving anything away unless it's the most basic outline, so.... Donnie has a mental illness, because of this illness, he hallucinates a rabbit in a suit telling him something is going to happen Oct. 30th.  With the most basic help from the rabbit, its up to Donnie to find out what happens, how it effects him and the people around him.  If anyone can explain it better, it would be much appreciated.
