Guest RugbyDiva Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 After sulking for a few days.. I have to ask.. "It was too good to last... wasn't it?"
Guest Eagan469 Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Sabres are playing the role of spoiler lately, which is great. I went to the Buffalo-Dallas game last week - great stuff
Guest treble charged Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 They've hit a rough patch lately. Hopefully they can turn it around before the playoffs start, and getting Nolan in the lineup should help. They still need to improve their defence, so hopefully they can swing a trade.
Guest starvenger Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Well, yes. Every team has their ups and downs, and you just hope that the "down" doesn't last very long. Of course, in the 80's, the "down" lasted roughly 6-7 years... In the case of this game, the loss of McCauley and the Tucker/Domi suspensions definitely hurt the team. Paul Healey and Ric Jackman aren't exactly names that inspire fear into the opponents, so I hope that Tucker and Domi wise up and play smarter hockey when they get back.
Guest The Czech Republic Posted March 7, 2003 Report Posted March 7, 2003 Blackhawks are a bit "down" recently, much to my chagrin. I can't wait until Hull, Joseph, Chelios, Yzerman, and Fedorov retire and we here in Chicago can once again be blessed with the Dead Wings.
Guest redbaron51 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Montreal is in a downward spiral... the help of Nolan can improve if healthy if not big bust. Trade Tucker or Domi can actually help leafs win games not cost them. Need 2 solid defencemen. Belfour plays as he is now for a while...leaf fans worry...
Guest Banky Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 The Flyers will beat out the Leafs first round. The Leafs need to do more than trade for Nolan. There is definate dissention within the ranks. Shayne Corson is unhappy. Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker are giving the team a terrible name, and Ed Belfour is beginning to show his true colors. They don't have a good defense either. All in all, they are in deep trouble. If they want to have a long post season, Tucker and Domi need to grow the fuck up while Sundin, Nolan, and Roberts need to have the post season of their lives. Unfortunately Sundin hasn't done squat under pressure.
Guest redbaron51 Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 actually Sundin is showing he can play in pressure, and takes the typical swede stereotype of not being in the corners (Forsberg is the other swede that goes into corners). If Belfour finishs off the season shitty...they're done before a fat kid pounces on a candy bar
