Guest MrRant Report post Posted March 7, 2003 DENVER, Colorado (AP) -- Prosecutors filed charges against seven fifth-graders accused of plotting to poison a classmate by putting pills, glue, lead and chalk in her drinks. Five students were charged Wednesday with attempted second-degree assault and conspiracy, both felonies, district attorney's office spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough said. Two others were charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment, she said. Three of the students were expelled, Denver Public Schools spokeswoman Tanya Spasev said. The students, five girls and two boys, were suspended in January after an 11-year-old girl reported finding the items in her water bottle and soda over three days. The girl did not drink the beverages and did not become ill. According to authorities, the students said they didn't like the girl and wanted to hurt her. Police learned of the case after the girl complained to her teachers. Police have not identified any of the children involved. School officials said it was isolated incident. Prosecutors will discuss plea agreements, but the suspects all face serious consequences, Kimbrough said. The children could face time in a juvenile detention facility, she said, but other options are available. I'm sure it will be blamed on low self-esteem or some other psychobabble BS. Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted March 7, 2003 nothing surprises me anymore kids today are asshats - but it's not their fault, too many broken homes and the entertainment industry putting emphasis on "kill and fuck anything that moves" doesn't help either - my school looks like a friggin' rap video

Guest Silence Report post Posted March 7, 2003 10 And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matt. 24 It is sad.
