Guest dvkorn Report post Posted March 7, 2003 Another review. Its been a while since my last. But here we go again. I watched this show in segments. The first hour one day then the some of the middle matches another day then RVD/Lynn and Storm/Credible tonight, so i probably won't remember some of the earlier stuff, but who knows. My 9th review starting.....now. 7/3/03. ECW Hardcore Heaven 2000 14th May. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Rave drawing 3,400 ($107,000) Commentators: Joey Styles & Don 'Cyrus' Callis Gertner and Styles are out in the ring and they do the usual stuff. Gertner: And well, well, well, WELL. I am the Quintessential Stud Muffin, Joel "From Milwaukee to Green Bay, all the ladies say, the highlight of their day, is when I shoot my nuts at their face, and SPRAY,.........................GERTNER!" 1. Balls Mahoney Vs Masato Tanaka Long, long intro for Balls. Tanaka comes out as well. Cyrus appears at the announce position. Kanemura chokes out Gertner and Cyrus is now the commentator. You gotta love Cyrus as a colour commentator. If you don't there is something wrong with you. Back to the match. This match was a great match. A good way to start the show. As most would know i have become a huge fan of Tanaka of late from watching his ECW and Zero One stuff. End comes when Tanaka goes for a Roaring Elbow and gets a two. Tanaka goes to the top rope with Balls' chair while Balls gets up Tanaka with a chairshot from the top. Balls is still standing but wobbly. Another Roaring Elbow for the 3. Good Brutal Match. 9:14 Rating: ***3/4 Storm Promo. Pretty decent one at that. If only the WWF let Storm and Regal talk these days (like just before their matches) then they would probably have a better chance of getting over. 2. Simon Diamond Vs Mikey Whipwreck V Little Guido And Simon has a problem. They all think he is a comedy act, he is not a comedy act and he will prove tonight that he is a blue chip athlete. Pretty decent match. I, for some reason, am a fan of Simon Diamond. He's done nothing really outstanding (mic work is good) that i have seen of his but i still like the guy. Before anyone gets eliminated, the lights go out. Not on purpose either. So, a spotlight is used, so we can see the match. Simon gets eliminated first at 5:34 by Mikey with a whippersnapper. Then match continues for a bit Sinister Minister gives Mikey something turns out to be a fireball as Mikey throws it in Sal's face. Guido with the Unprettier for the win at 7:08. Good nicely paced match. Rating: **1/4 Credible with a promo. And another decent one. 3. Kid Kash V CW Anderson Lou E. talks for a bit. Jazz comes out takes out Dangerous Alliance. Strips Eleckra. CW comes back with a superkick and spinebuster on Jazz. Kid Kash comes out and the now the match. End comes when CW hits a superkick for 2. Kash gets a top rope (screwed up) hurricanrana for the victory. The hurricanrana looked pretty good even though he fucked it up. Pretty decent match. 6:00 Rating: **1/4 RVD crap in the back with Scotty Anton (Riggs) and Bill Alfonzo. 4. The Baldies (DeVito & Angel) Vs Chetti/Nova Vs Doring/Roadkill Half decent bout. Doring & Roadkill get eliminated first at 4:16 because Grimes come out and brings a guitar with him. Doring gets to him before he can use it however soon after Angle uses the Guitar on Doring and gets the pin and Doring and Roadkill eliminated. Roadkill, however, splashes Grimes who is on a table on the outside of the ring. Nova and Chetti finish the baldies off with the Tidal Wave. 6:35. Rating: ** Baldies start beating on Nova and Chetti then it's New Jack and Crowd goes nutterfuck. It isn't really a match just the usual New Jack stuff. New Jack jumps off the balcony onto DeVito through a table. New Jack back to the ring and pins Angel at 6:50. Not really a match so there is no rating. 5. Tajiri Vs Steve Corino Corino comes out with Jack Victory and a cow bell. Tajiri out. Corino promo (gold) - "Tajiri, let's not waste any time. You and me go way back. We don't have to fight in front of these morons in Milwaukee, and the millions of people watching on PPV don't deserve to watch us fight. I've said it three times now - people make mistakes. You made a big one when you turned your back on the Network. I'm a forgiving man, Tajiri, I'm giving you one last shot to get the rocks out of that Jap head of yours, and come back to me, cause if you don't come back to me, you little slant-eyed bastard, I'm gonna kick your ASS!" Tajiri retaliates with a kick in the head. Nice part. Brainbuster on runway. Corino blades. Back in the ring. Corino in the tree of woe. Tajiri with a baseball slide into corino head and some blood gets splattered on the camera. A bit later. Corino sets up the table. End comes when Tajiri does a shitload of kicks to Corino, then (on my DVD it is clipped for some reason but i read what happened) Tajiri with a stomp onto Corino who is on the table for the win. 10:25. Match was really good. I liked it a lot but felt it was a tad too short. Rating: **** Afterwards, Kanemura comes out. Kanemura and Jack Victory double team Tajiri. Then it the American Dweem. Bionic Elbows for Victory for Kanemura for Victory and Kanemura again. Then it's Rhino (275 pound man beast from detroit michigan). Big Brawl until Enter Snadman is played. Everyone vacates the ring except for Rhino 6. TV Title Rhino © Vs The Sandman Sandman comes from the crowd. Eats up a few minutes playing in the crowd. Nothing much. Staredown during the introductions. Into the match. Corino and Victory come out. Rhino with a piledriver on sandman on the runway. Sandmans wife comes out. She gets piledrived through a table by Rhino. Rhino gets her back in the ring. Table set up in the corner of the ring. Corino and Victory hold up Sandmans wife in the corner in front of the table getting ready for the gore. Sandmans comes back with Singapore Cane shots for everyone. He attends to his wife. Picks her up. Gore! Gore! Gore! by Rhyno. Rhyno gets the p in for the win. 6:23. Rating: * Golden moment after the match. Rhyno with the mic to Sandmans wife. "Happy Mother's Day, you fucken bitch" 7. Jerry Lynn Vs Rob Van Dam Good Match. RVD and Trish i think take the best DDTs. Corino, Victory, Rhino and Cyrus interfere. VanDaminator for Cyrus. End comes when Anton turns on RVD pushing him off the top ropes. RVD back in the ring. Lynn gets 2 cradle piledrivers for the pin at 19:50. Real good match. This match probably beats anything RVD has done in the WWF bar 3 or 4 matches (Benoit, Jeff Hardy in mid 01, Eddy) Rating: ***3/4 8. ECW World Title Lance Storm V Justin Credible © This was supposed to be a three way dance with Tommy Dreamer included. But they take out Dreamer with one of the worst excuses ever used. Credible is out with the mic. Credible will throw the belt away and walk out of the company. Dreamer comes out and then Heyman comes out and tells Dreamer to not have the match because Credible has them by the balls. Storm comes out. Stops near Dreamer. Dreamer gives his blessing to Storm and leaves with Heyman. Pretty decent match. Good spot - Credible whips storm into the ropes. Credible then puts storm in an abdominal stretch, storm reverses into another abdominal stretch. Credible reverses goes for a hiptoss, sotrm reverses and hiptosses Credible over the top rope and thorugh a table that was set up on the runway. Storm goes up top and gets crotched. Credible does the Tombstone piledriver for the pin. 12:29 Rating: **1/2 After the match. Dreamer comes out hits Credible with a singapore cane and does the Spicolli Driver to Francine. End of Show. This show was pretty good. Tanaka/Balls, Corino/Tajiri and RVD/Lynn all being pretty good. Pretty weak how Dreamer wasn't in the main. Still a good show. I enjoyed it. The crowd wasn't really into the main. They weren't dead silent but some parts they were hot some they did nothing. Also, i think that there was too much interference and shit going on during some of the matches which was quite annoying because i had to type more. That's all. Thoughts and feedback are welcome.
