Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 6, 2002 I feel sorry for all the Americans that can't watch CBC.
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted February 6, 2002 Amen to that. NBC's bad enough at a regular Olympics. Can you imagine how unwatchable they'll be with the Olympics in the States, AND forcing all the patriotic bullshit you can stomach on you?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 6, 2002 I wish they had it on REAL sports channels, not Network News channels, can't NBC use TNT/TBS?
Guest Dark Lotus Report post Posted February 6, 2002 I didn't even realize that the Olympics were starting this weekend. Shows you how far below my radar this is. I can't wait. 2 more weeks of telling us how great America is, and having more patriotic bullshit shoved down our gullet. And anyone from anywhere NEAR New York will be profiled and HAILED as a hero. No thanks, I'll pass.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 6, 2002 We'll get two weeks of how there has to be more government spending on Amateur Sports. But at least we get to watch the events live and uncut.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted February 6, 2002 Just as a note to any Canadians out there. Sale & Pelletier will be skating the Pairs Short Program on Saturday night, during the Prime Time session on CBC. I normally don't like figure skating, but they have a good shot at the gold. Guest Eraser2K2 Report post Posted February 6, 2002 Well NBC is only going to have the Olympics in prime time I think, on the actual NBC station. Probably more during the weekends. A lot of stuff is going to be on CNBC and MSNBC, some of it actually <gasp> live. One cool thing is, they are going to show like 31 of 33 hockey games. I dont think it will be as bad as the Sydney games, as Salt Lake isn't that far out, and NBC realized their mistakes.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 6, 2002 Why do they do that? No one cares about Hockey although it's the only contact sport of the games, look at the ratings it gets. Without Brawls, there is no National Interest.
