cawthon777 0 Report post Posted March 8, 2003 Sad as it may be, I think I can do most of this off the top of my head. Whatever I'm missing can probably be found on the site. 1993: Bob Backlund vs Lex Luger Luger via count-out after knocking Backlund off the apron with the steel forearm Doink vs Mr. Perfect (3 times) Perfect-Plex on Doink #2 after they switched places Papa Shongo vs Hacksaw Duggan with the running clothesline EL Madator vs BB Bigelow It was actually Razor vs. Santana. Bigelow fought Typhoon on Raw and won with the diving headbutt (the same Raw that had Duggan / HBK lumberjack match). Razor beat Santana when Tito went for a flying crossbody and Razor rolled on top for the win Jimmy Del Rey vs Tattanka (Del Ray was subbed for some one else, although I can't remember who) The Heavenly Bodies didn't come into the WWF until early August. Tatanka fought Giant Gonzalez and won via DQ when Gonzalez wouldn't release a choke. This was kind of an important match since Gonzalez had killed everyone and Tatanka was undefeated at the time So that leaves Bret/Razor/Mr. Huges beat ??? Bret got an automatic bye into the first round due to him having the world title stolen from him. Mr. Hughes beat Harvey Wippleman's earlier protege Kamala with a roll up. 1994 Owen beat Doink (Sub for Earthquake) Roll up after Jeff Jarrett came ringside Jeff Jarret beat Lex Luger by CO Luger fought with Crush in the aisle after Crush came ringside Razor/BBBigelow/IRS/Mabel/Tatanka/123 Kid beat??? Razor beat Kwang with the Razor's Edge. Bigelow pinned Bob Holly with a slingshot splash into the ring. IRS beat Scott Steiner with a roll up and using the ropes (the Steiners' last TV appearance in the WWF). Mabel beat Quebecar Pierre with a splash. Tatanka beat Crush in a lumberjack match (rematch after their previous battle went to a draw) after Luger interfered. The Kid beat Adam Bomb, I believe, after Kwang's interference backfired and he sprayed Bomb in the eyes with the green mist (face turn for Bomb foreshadowed). 1995 Owen and the Bulldog went to a Double CO so Yoko vs Lex was made instead and Yoko won that... via count-out after a legdrop on the floor Mabel beat Adom Bomb powerslam at In Your House #1 Razor beat some one, but was hurt and subbed by Savio Vega after he beat IRS Razor beat one of the Blu Twins (Harris Brothers). Savio beat IRS during the preshow with a spin kick. Shawn Micheals beat KKBundy (I think?) Yep, HBK's first match back after Sid put him on the shelf. Superkick. After the match, he reunited with Diesel and the two, along with Bigelow, celebrated. Roadie/Bob Holly/Kama/Taker??? (Taker over Jarrett?) Taker pinned Jarrett in a non-title match with the tombstone. The Roadie pinned Doink with a roll up. Bob Holly pinned Mantaur with a flying crossbody. Kama defeated Duke Drose. 1996 Jake Roberts beat Bradshaw (I think he faced HHH in Rd 1 on RAW though) Roberts over both men with the DDT. Austin/Mero/Vader??? Austin beat Bob Holly and then Savio Vega - I believe he debuted the Stunner in the Savio bout. Mero beat Skip and then Owen Hart. Vader beat Ahmed Johnson (Ahmed's first TV loss) after Owen Hart came off the top rope with his Slammy to the back of Ahmed's head. After that match is when Goldust tried to revive Ahmed with mouth-to-mouth which led to their KOTR match. 1997 Lawler/HHH/Mankind/Ahmed???????? Lawler pinned Goldust with his feet on the ropes. Triple H pinned Crush with the Pedigree. Originally, Triple H had been eliminated after a qualifying match with Ahmed Johnson in which Chyna interfered and got Hunter DQ'ed. He threatened to take legal action against the WWF since they didn't tell him he could be eliminated via DQ. So he subbed for Vader (who was healing from injuries sustained by Ken Shamrock at IYH) against Crush. Mankind beat Savio Vega with the Mandible Claw. Ahmed, as I said before, beat Triple H via DQ. 1998 Shamrock/Jarret/Severn/Rocky???????? Let's see if I can remember the rounds. I know Rock pinned Vader with the Rock Bottom after Mark Henry interfered. He followed that up with a pinfall over Triple H just 6 days before the PPV. Jarrett pinned Marc Mero. I believe Severn beat D-Lo Brown in a qualifying match via submission (tearing D-Lo's pectoral in the process and forcing him to wear the chest protector for months and months). He might have also scored a submission over the Godfather.

Don't remember if it was on the same episode, though.
Guest Bricks Report post Posted March 9, 2003 In 1993, Shawn Michaels faced Crush in a KOTR Qualifying match... even though all the slots to the tournament were already filled. It was a double count-out I think and so that was the set up for the HBK IC Title Defense against Crush at King Of The Ring.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2003 In 1993, Shawn Michaels faced Crush in a KOTR Qualifying match... even though all the slots to the tournament were already filled. It was a double count-out I think and so that was the set up for the HBK IC Title Defense against Crush at King Of The Ring. They weren't all filled at that point. I think guys like Duggan and Mr. Hughes had yet to get a slot; not sure what match was made in light of the double count-out. Michaels was the ex-champ at the time of the qualifyer contest. Then a one-on-one match was made cause Crush was so pissed about not being in the tournament. 6 days before the PPV, HBK regained the title and was quite pissed about being forced to defend it at the KOTR.
