Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Championship week is upon us and alot of questions are still abound. What will happen, who will break their way into the field of 65 and who will leave home with shattered dreams? Troy State has Qualified for the NCAA Tournament by deafeating UCF to win the Atlantic Sun Conf. Title. Radford and UNCA are currently playing the Big South Finals to secure the second spot of the Tournament... Edit: UNCA Defeated Radford and have gotten the Automatic bid for the Playoffs. 2 Spots are now filled. APSU and TN TC are playing currently for the Ohio Valley Conf. Title Automatic Spot...
Guest Kingpk Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I set up a private Yahoo Pick 'Em group for the tournament. If you are interested, here is the ID# and password: ID#:10551 Password: TSM876
Guest Choken One Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 Oh Cool Thanks. Yeah, I flubbed the Title. Fuck Me...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I set up a private Yahoo Pick 'Em group for the tournament. If you are interested, here is the ID# and password: ID#:10551 Password: TSM876 I'm game. I play all sorts of Bracket games. Not very good at it, but so what. Kentucky just finished a perfect 16-0 record in SEC play.
Gert T Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Congrats Asheville, you have earned a trip to "lovely" Dayton, OH!
Guest Kingpk Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Just a question, does anyone know where the 1st and 2nd round games will be played? I thought I heard they will be having some at the FleetCenter. Imagine if Louisville has to play there (since Pitino is the coach.)
Guest fazzle Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 http://espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology/index.html That has the locations listed on it.
Guest Kingpk Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Ah, I thought so. Thanks. They HAVE to put Louisville in Boston if they want to sell the place out. I know plenty of people who will show up just to hurl insults at Ricky.
Guest CanadianChris Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Yeah, but there's no way they'd put such a high seed in such a hostile environment... ...is there?
Guest Choken One Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Why Not? Louisville isn't an NATIONAL draw like Kentucky, Duke, Arizona...So might as well use it to thier advantage and sell the Boston HATES Pitino angle for ratings. The place is already sold out... as for the Dayton Trip...I Might Go for the fun of it but I've been to a couple NCAA Madness games before anyways...Nothing good or memorable.
Guest cabbageboy Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 You are assuming U of L at 21-6 is a high seed, which is very much in doubt.
Guest fazzle Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 And now the CAA finals are set, UNCW (beat Delaware 63-50 today) vs. Drexel (beat VCU 62-60 today), tomorrow at 7 PM. uncwsports.com says the game is going to be on ESPN2, but the cable guide says women's basketball. *shrug*
Guest Choken One Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 You are assuming U of L at 21-6 is a high seed, which is very much in doubt. in the age of Parity it is...
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Figure Someone should keep a list of Automatic bids Troy St.-Atlantic Sun UNCA-Big South E.Tenn St.-Southern Austin Peay-Ohio Valley Penn-Ivy
Guest Choken One Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Do we REALLY need to have Austin Peay and E. Tenn State in this? They KNOW they are going straight to the 14-16 seeds.
Guest LatinoHeat Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Does the tournament start this week or next week? When is the selection show? Does anyone have a tv schedule of the games?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Do we REALLY need to have Austin Peay and E. Tenn State in this? They KNOW they are going straight to the 14-16 seeds. Did anyone think Hampton, Santa Clara, Richmond, Webber St. or any small conference team would pull the upsets they did? It's March Madness expect the unexpected. Where do you go to sign up for the private tournament bracket.
Guest Kingpk Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Here then "Join private group". then type in 10551 as the ID#. The password is TSM876. You have to have a Yahoo screename to join.

Guest CanadianChris Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Does anyone have a tv schedule of the games? Here you go.
Guest LatinoHeat Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 what time is the selection show on this sunday? I'm a march maddness newbie.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I believe 5:30 CST. But I'm not certain.
Guest fazzle Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 According to ESPN, the brackets are getting released during sportscenter at 6 PM. However, you'd probably be able to find them earlier.
Guest Kingpk Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 CBS always has the exclusive right to reveal the brackets first. That's their tradition. Sportscenter will have them soon afterwards and then there's that "Bracketology 101" special at 7.
Guest fazzle Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 and UNCW gets the CAA's bid! 70-62 victory over Drexel, in a game that saw a 22-0 run by UNCW near the beginning.
Rob E Dangerously Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I set up a private Yahoo Pick 'Em group for the tournament. If you are interested, here is the ID# and password: ID#:10551 Password: TSM876 I just joined with the name "Scott Steiner on Sedatives"
