Guest TMPacMan Posted March 8, 2003 Report Posted March 8, 2003 I got PS2 for my birthday a few days ago and am hooking it up now. I'm hooking it up to my VCR outlets (the white and yellow since I don't have a red color outlet), but after I hook it up, it doesn't do anything when I turn it on. Does there need to be a game in the system when I turn it on for it to work? My friend has brought over his PS2 and hooked it up to the same VCR and it worked fine. Please help asap. Thanks alot! Pac
Guest TMPacMan Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 Nevermind, I just figure out that I needed to push the reset button for the PS2 to actually start, lol. ~Pac
Guest Lightning Flik Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 You know, I had this same problem early on. Didn't realize reset and power buttons were just mashed together into a single button. Took me a little bit to figure it out myself. Stil
Guest Nevermortal Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 PS2, one button for power, 2 controller ports, four top button triggers. WHAT A WACKY SYSTEM~!
Guest razazteca Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 The big question is WTF is the deal with the power button on the back.
Guest Retro Rob Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 It sucks that the DVD remote can't turn the system on and off. That pisses me off to no end.
Guest Lightning Flik Posted March 9, 2003 Report Posted March 9, 2003 The big question is WTF is the deal with the power button on the back. Because the PS2 in Sony's own comericals: "is a computer entertainment system"; translation, since it's like a computer it's gotta have it's power button on the back.

I think its a conspiracy to make more money off of accessories.
