Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Oh, I agree completely, but that just shows how little drawing power any of these guys would have on their own (or with the WWA or whatnot). If Goldberg can't draw while on TV 4 hours a week, with AOL-TW advertising the product behind an established brand name (WCW) with at least some fan loyalty, how do people expect him (or others) to draw for companies like the WWA and XWF when 90% of wrestling fans have never even heard of them? Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 20, 2002 This is why I was so against bringing the NWO in the first place. The story building up to the matches has to be compelling. I don't want Hogan in the WWF but he proved me wrong at Mania. He can still illicit a response like no other, including Rock, Stone Cold, and HHH (only because of their overexposure). Now the Outsiders on the other hand could get lost tomorrow and noone would really mind. So when the WWF has this big megamachine company, they have the opportunity to create stars out of the young guns and let someone like Hogan or Taker go out for their last hurrah. If they make more WCW-like mistakes (Hogan laying down for Rock is a good start to reverse the trend) then they could be looking at 0.15 buyrates as well
