Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Ozzy Osbourne and his outspoken wife Sharon are furious with their daughter Kelly's ex-boyfriend Bert McCracken, lead vocalist of the band "The Used", because they insist he (no pun intended) used their child to promote his band. The pair split on Valentine's Day following McCracken's announcement live on stage that their romance was over. And while Kelly grieves, her parents are seething. A source tells magazine US Weekly, "They're pissed because Bert used her to get on TV and get press for himself." But a pal of McCracken counters, "The kid is not that calculating. The only thing he cares about is what city he's playing next. He's on the road constantly. He didn't have time for a serious relationship." And although the McCracken ally acknowledges the free publicity "hasn't hurt" the band, the source confirms, "He really loved that girl. Everything he did was out of love." Feel the drama Source: Blabbermouth Too bad they both suck!

Boo-fucking-hoo. The Osbournes are pimped 24/7 anyway, and yet they find this strange?
Guest Steviekick Report post Posted March 9, 2003 It doesn't make sense to want to have a serious relationship if your in a band that's just starting to get popular and constantly touring, so I agree with Bert Used. However, if it results in anything that upsets the obnoxious Kelly Osbourne, that does deserve some credit. I read somewhere that her debut album tanked and didn't sell at all. Guest Eyeball Kid Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Christ, the Used is awful. Emo, in its many forms, hath wrought much terror upon this world.
Guest Steviekick Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Too many emo bands do suck and are generic rip offs of each other. The Used is listenable...i prefer to call the "post hardcore" instead of emo.
Guest Eyeball Kid Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Some people would call that "emocore." That isn't always a bad thing, I guess. At the Drive-in were pretty good.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I don't like the used but you have to give the guy props for making that poser Kelly have a few bad days. Dude, you'd have to put a brown paper bag over just about everything..
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 9, 2003 At the drive-in were a good band but as far as anything emo-related goes THAT IS IT. There was never and will never be another good band related to the emo genre. No.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 9, 2003 You can consider Reggie and the Full Effect emo, and they don't suck. At The Drive In definitely did not suck. I think we can agree on that.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Yeah, probably has nothing to do with the "Kelly Osbourne is an annoying bitch" factor, does it? I doubt the couple times the band got their name said on tv helped them. And that the guy came off as a complete putz helped them. Like it stated earlier (and in nicer words) the guy wasn't smart enough to pull off such a thing.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Have I mentioned that I had to suffer through The Used live to see Andrew WK? I think I have. Let me just state that they are the WORST, WORST, WORST live act I have ever seen. Goddamn homeless-lookin' bastards.
Guest Kotzenjunge Report post Posted March 9, 2003 Kudos to him if he did do it for publicity. Anything that makes the Osbourne children so distraught they disappear, PLEASE.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 9, 2003 If it's any consoation to Ozzy and Sharon, I have never in my life heard of the Used, so his evil plot didn't work totally.
Guest hardyz1 Report post Posted March 9, 2003 I heard he did her in the BUTT. Just rumor, though.

Let me just state that they are the WORST, WORST, WORST live act I have ever seen. Goddamn homeless-lookin' bastards. Man, that's awful. I had to hear incubus, puddle of mudd and A at the same festival, but it was worth it for him and NOFX. I have to say given the chance I'd probably fuck her in the ass too, but then I'd fuck Avril in the ass on the condition she didn't say anything.
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I've never heard of The Used before this thread either. Guess I'm farther off the radar than I thought I was

Guest whatitistoburn Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I wouldn't call ATDI anything remotely close to emo. I mean, how many songs did they really talk about how much girls sucked? And Reggie and the Full Effect > Everything.
Guest Sturgis Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I'd fuck Avril in the ass on the condition she didn't say anything. Why? If I fucked Avril in the ass I would want her to SCREAM.

She probably wouldn't scream. She would probably do a SOAD cover, causing you to commit suicide.
Guest Eyeball Kid Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I wouldn't call ATDI anything remotely close to emo. I mean, how many songs did they really talk about how much girls sucked? Hey, now. Emo bands never say girls suck. They worship girls; they're far too full of self-loathing to hate anyone else. As for ATDI, Relationship of Command was a really agressive album, but their earlier stuff like In/Casion/Out and Vaya was totally emocore.

Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Maybe I'm just getting older and out of touch with the times, but what is EMO? One of two genres headbangers and indie guys can equally throw rocks at with glee. It's this seriously pussified derivitive of punk that's full of self loathing, whining, crying on stage, and crying. Did I mention they cry a lot? It means "emotional" you know... They cry like girls.
Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted March 10, 2003 So in other words, a bunch of Eddie Vedder & Kurt Cobain wannabes?
Guest benoitrulz4life Report post Posted March 10, 2003 EMO is this really shitty form of music that was spawned from post-punk/hardcore bands into the pussified shit you hear today. Ever heard of Dashboard Confessional? He personifies the typical EMO whiny ass pussy sunofabitch. Although a friend of mine plays in an emo band I still hate it. I'd even go so far as to say that EMO is the most hated branch of music on this board, only pop-rap could be argued against it. In fact, I'd rather listen to the soundtrack to "Gettysburg" 24/7 than EMO. That is a pretty good orchestra soundtrack.
