Guest JMA Report post Posted March 10, 2003 A pretty good episode. Lots of political humor and one-liners. "Welcome to Fox News. Your voice for evil."

Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Remember guys, Rupert Murdoch: Great Dancer! The Dow dropped 5000 points?! No!! The shows are always great when the govt. is the main theme involved.

Guest JMA Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Plus, we have the second appearance of the Republican Headquarters. We haven't seen it since Sideshow Bob ran for office.

JasonX 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Heh, speaking of the Republican mansion, who else wanted to see a Sideshow Bob picture on top of the fireplace? C'mon.. They did do that, though it was a small Krusty/Bob picture on Krusty's fireplace....
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I'm starting to think I should have been paying better attention to the episode than I was. Damn dinner, why can't you cook yourself!
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 10, 2003 The whole "you have to wheel and deal to get anything done in Washington" is a little played out, but it was still a fairly funny episode. I think they could have done more with the Krusty actually running for office stuff. The CCR bit was the only real classic line.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 10, 2003 What was the point of Krusty winning and than actually trying to keep campaign promises. Krusty's not suppose to care about anyone. Remember the Springfield Film festival, Mr.Burn's paid off Krusty.
Guest Fook_Hing_Ho Report post Posted March 10, 2003 The question is: is krusty going to be acknowledged as a congressman from now on, or is this going to be one of those things they forget about the next week and never mention again?
HurriShane 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 My money's on the fact that it'll never be mentioned again.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Never mentioned again. And this is starting to piss me off...in the previews they showed Homer being roughed up by gaurd yelling out something like "There is no NORTH Dakota! It's all a lie"...and in the episode it wasn't there. This isn't the first time they did that this year.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted March 10, 2003 About the only time I remember them actually sticking with something was when Barney finally got on the wagon, but then he apperantly fell off again in the spelling bee episode. I could see them doing something next season (or if they go longer) with someone saying "Krusty, remember when you were a congressman?" "Oh yeah, that was a fun six hours." In the previews I saw didn't he also say something about Marge's tomato ass and then in the show it got changed to something else?
Guest MD2020 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 " I don't like giving advice to Republicans, but I would like to be on the winning side for once." Loved that line.
Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 It was a good episode, but entirely forgettable. Other than the CPR/CCR joke and the Joe Millionaire promo joke, there's nothing that I'll really remember about this episode. Having said that, I loved the CCR joke. Laughed out loud. JasonX 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2003 The question is: is krusty going to be acknowledged as a congressman from now on, or is this going to be one of those things they forget about the next week and never mention again? From the rumors that I've heard on the net, this week's episode is going to be part of an ongoing arc involving Krusty, who will eventually become corrupt and has to be brought down by the Simpsons..... I think it was when Homer burst in to create a distraction so Lisa could add Krusty's bill to the one about flags for orphans. It may have not come there, but I'm 99% sure I heard it during the show. Guest Spaceman Spiff Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I don't recall hearing the N. Dakota joke. It was after Homer burst in, when they were dragging him away. But neither Homer being dragged away, nor the line, made it on the air.
Guest JMA Report post Posted March 10, 2003 Barney is still on the wagon. He has succumb a few times, but he keeps trying. I, personally, like the sober Barney. Character development rules, yo. I think they'll keep Krusty as a congressman in continuity. Anyways, I'm always up for Fox News parodies.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 10, 2003 I HATE SOBER BARNEY. He was one of my favourites on the Simpsons and now he's some sober loser.
Guest godthedog Report post Posted March 11, 2003 I HATE SOBER BARNEY. He was one of my favourites on the Simpsons and now he's some sober loser. that's so sad how you equate sobriety with being a loser. you're going to live a short, eventful life.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 11, 2003 I don't equate that- In fact- I don't drink alcohol at all. Drunk Barney was hilarious and caused many memorable moments and lines on the Simpsons. I don't recall Sober Barney doing anything remotely funny.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Thinking that a person who doesn't even exist is funnier has drunk doesn't mean you equate being sober to being a loser.
Guest JMA Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Drunk Barney was funny for a while but then the whole thing started to get old. I'm glad his character developed into something else. I also like Apu being married and having kids.
