Family Business & Penn/Teller:Bullshit

Recommended Posts

I am not sure if anyone has started a thread on these shows, but they are two newer shows on Showtime that many folks may not be aware of yet. Family Business is kind of a cross between a documentary and a reality tv show and it is about a guy who makes porn films, so you can imagine what goes on. I just saw this weeks show and must say there were a few snippets in there that seemed to break new ground on the cable "graphic" scale.(not counting ppv porn channels)

Penn & Teller: Bullshit is the duo discussing and exposing people trying to scam us in everyday life. This weeks show talked about the SCAM that is Bottled Water and pretty much uncovered the lies behind that marketing project. They also talked the the "science" of Fooshwaa(not spelled right, but that is how to say it) This is the science of moving around your furniture in order to improve your life, due to the way the energy works, or something. Yah it sounds stupid enough, but scam artists get people to pay upwards of 3,000+ for Fooshwaa consoltations.

I think the show is pretty good, and know there are probably gonna be subjects that not everyone watch, necessarily agrees with Penn/Teller. Next week the main topic is god/religion, so I am sure it is gonna spark some heated conversation. Be sure to watch~!

Yeah, I started a Family business thread...it still might be on the first page. And there is a Bullshit thread.

The problem is that so few people have Showtime, and they're only 30 minute once a week shows...not much to talk about.
