Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Here's to hoping they win tonight against the Hawks and start a...(grasp) winning streak.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 Why. There season's over, they'd be better off securing a high draft pick.
Guest Crazy Dan Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 The Clippers are the most disappointing team this year, plain and simple. They have so much talent, but have an owner who will not spend any money to lock down the talent. And so the team has badly, and I mean badly underachieved this year. Most of the players in the last year of the contracts will be playing elsewhere next season. I think Brand will be the only player retained, but even that is questionable. The Clipper's owner, aka as The Don, should just sell the team. It's obvious he doesn't care about winning. He represents everything that is wrong with today's Pro Sports team owner.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 10, 2003 Report Posted March 10, 2003 I don't think a high draft pick will do them any good. They have to win enough games down the stretch and give Doanld Sterling a reason to spend some money to keep this team. Here's a breakdown of the contract status of free agents this summer: UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENTS: - Michael Olowakandi - Eric Piatkowski - Cherokee Parks - Sean Rooks RESTRICTED FREE AGENTS (Clips can match offer) - Andre Miller - Corey Magette - Lamar Odom - Elton Brand As you can see, the Clips can keep their best players if Sterling is willing to pay them!
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 So much for that winning streak! bastards.
Guest Spicy McHaggis Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 As you can see, the Clips can keep their best players if Sterling is willing to pay them! And when has he ever done that? The guy isn't interested in winning. At least the Lakers can pick up the Kandi man. Finally, a quality back-up for Shaq.
Guest Choken One Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I am STILL bitching about NBA starting an 32nd franchise and YET they won't contract 4 duds and make it 28 teams at the most... Contract L.A Clips, Atlanta, Denver and Cleveland. Then get rid of the 8 team tourny and have an 6 team with #1 and #2 getting byes...
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I don't think they can afford the Kandiman. Kandi isn't interested in winning. He just wants a max contract.

Guest kingkamala Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 I bet Kandi Man goes to Denver. They're looking for any star power, I highly doubt they'll get Kidd or Duncan in Denver so they'd probably settle for a guy like Kandi or Elton Brand. I think the Nuggets have decent enough D but absolutely no resemblence of an offense.
Guest razazteca Posted March 11, 2003 Report Posted March 11, 2003 Why would anybody want to stay with the Clippers? They have no future they can never keep a head coach, they always are in the lottery draft, yet still never advance.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted March 14, 2003 Report Posted March 14, 2003 I wonder how long I have to wait until I make a Clippers win 21st Game Thread.
