Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 a few weeks back we joked about the bogus sight that in humor linked HHH and racism... that was all funny but now we got to see this new angle with the Race card and HHH seems all to comfortable in doing so. I think they all could have gone a better route, than Racism, its like with Kane and the Necrophila if they really had good wrestling based creative writers than these TV hollywood ones they could get more wrestling backed storylines... Now HHH and Ric Flair just Rochesters Booker T in two segments and then Lynch Maven with the ropes.... HHH can't seem to have a angle with anyone without trying to over dramatically insult the Fans and Smarks alike. this isn't cheap wrestling Mark heat that HHH will get... is true spit in his face Hatred heat the kinda Sgt Slaughter Iraqi Sympthizer gets bomb threats type Heat. Guest El Psycho Diablo Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Well, at least Booker got the best of HHH tonight. *shrug* I don't care for the stupid side of the angle myself, but it IS the WWE here. They couldn't book their way out of a paper bag.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Are people gonna take Ric Flair to task like they did HHH last week? Fuck WWE for doing this- Teddy Long was right all along
Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 HHH could align with Al-Qaeda.. but then he'd get arrested by Ridge
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Are people gonna take Ric Flair to task like they did HHH last week? Fuck WWE for doing this- Teddy Long was right all along I'll repeat myself... Ric is a whore, and he'll do whatever he's asked to do. So even if he objected, he did it anyway.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted March 11, 2003 HHH could align with Al-Qaeda.. but then he'd get arrested by Ridge LOL. I think the use of the racism angle just shows the lack of creativity on the writing team.
Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 actually if the Bush Administration really wanted to get rid of the WWE they could send Ridge after Sgt Slaughter for that angle 10 years ago... lol would they be that dumb?
Guest Space_Cowboy Report post Posted March 11, 2003 With the brainiacs currently booking the WWE we'll probably get another "Iraqi Sympathiser" gimmick before too long.

Guest Johnson1620 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 When HHH threw that dollar at Booker T and told him to get him a towel I laughed my ass off! It was great. And if it is so damn offensive and Flair is a whore, what does that say about Booker T? I look forward to Booker T carrying in HHH and Flairs bags next week! Guest JMA Report post Posted March 11, 2003 It might make for an interesting segment to have Theodore Long try to recruit Booker T. Booker would of course refuse and get a warm up match with Rodney Mack. It could work. Although I'm sure someone will make a joke about Mack injuring Booker. Rob E Dangerously 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 would Teddy and Mack then align with HHH? Evolution v.2: HHH, Rodney Mack, Teddy Long, Ric Flair
Guest graph9 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 It is unsettling to C this angle unfold like this..In the WWF (E)..It's the common MO for a black wrestler..the customary racial gimmick.. It's a shame..but no one should be surprised..it's headed by a man who had someone kiss his bare nasty ass on camera.. Like i mentioned before..they have been doing racist thing as far back as the 80's..this company reaches at the bottom of the barrel everytime...they don't care..its all for the sake of entertainment.. I don't know where this angle is going..but i feel a swerve coming..

Guest JMA Report post Posted March 11, 2003 would Teddy and Mack then align with HHH? Nope. They would be against both Triple H and Booker T.

Guest JMA Report post Posted March 11, 2003 making the Wrestlemania main event Rodney Mack v. HHH for the title! Theodore's character would probably consider Booker T a sell-out to "The Man." That being said, he wouldn't support Triple H either. He would consider Booker the lesser of two evils.
Guest WukenBloodstar Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Sadly enough..they would do another Iraqi Sympathiser gimmick, then blame it one "The stupid fans who should shut up and like the booking" How long until HHH joins the KKK? I think that racist remarks or anything along the lines of racist shouldn't be in pro-wrestling, it isn't about being racist..nor about corpse humping. Once again someone comparing fucking a dead body to hateing a person of a different race. I got news for you, it ain't the same thing. The racist storylines are entertaining. Fucking a corpse is just sick.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Here are the three universal truths I have come to understand. 1. There is no low to which HHH's "character" will go to in order to get heat. 2. Ric Flair will do ANYTHING you tell him to. If you ever see him on the street tell him to give you a grand...I think you've got a shot. This is the man who went to an institution in WCW...and then won another world title. 3. Racism angles always work out. Look it up. There was the time that... um... hmm... nevermind.
Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted March 11, 2003 In the words of the immortal William Shatner "it's just a tv show!" Some of you are taking this racism stuff waaaaay too seriously. Now... if HHH comes out on top in the feud, then you might have an argument. Complaining about WWE using race to advance an angle is about as logical as someone complaining about racism depicted in a certain movie... just as long as the good eventually triumphs over the evil. And believe me... Booker T/the good side WILL triumph over HHH/the Evil side. And if you really want to disect this a little more... I could use this: "it's horrible for HHH's character to be racist... but it's okay for him to beat the holy living hell out of somebody with a sledgehammer"
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Right... so maybe you can explain the point of Booker detailing his criminal record now that the WWE has chosen to portray him as a black guy instead of a performer like everyone else.

Guest Johnson1620 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 What would it say about Booker T? It says that if the black man that is the subject of the jokes is willing to go along with the angle, then just enjoy the comedy and blantant spit in the face of politcal correctness. Guest EternallyLazy Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Right... so maybe you can explain the point of Booker detailing his criminal record now that the WWE has chosen to portray him as a black guy instead of a performer like everyone else. Right, and they also made the point that while Booker T committed a crime, he paid the price and is rehabilitated. No harm done. Is it a cheap heat tactic? Of course. But it's heat, and it gives people a reason to want to see HHH get his ass handed to him, and the belt handed to Booker. And it WILL happen
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Well I don't know about Booker but I know that the Truth went through with his racism angle because he was afraid to talk out against it. Black or white or other...most people in the business just want to keep their job. Why a writing team would write this...I couldn't tell you.

So now you're saying that it's the black man taking from whitey. Not a strong argument. You are forgetting the fact that Booker T shouldn't be in a WM main event in the first place. No matter what color his skin is.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Where did I say that? I said what the Truth said as to why a black wrestler (which the Truth is) has gone along with it in the past. I'm certain that Kane wasn't happy about being portrayed as a murdering necropheliac...but he wanted to keep his job too. When you get paid good money your standards lower.
