Guest FeArHaVoC Report post Posted March 11, 2003 - WWE Executive Producer Kevin Dunn was not backstage at RAW last night. Coincidence or not, the broadcast was full of production errors. - Many backstage are not happy with the racial direction that WWE is taking the Booker T/Triple H feud. They feel it is the wrong way to promote the match. - Jim Ross told Jerry Lawler on-air to think more about what he is saying, in response to making comments about whether Maven should be able to wrestle Triple H. Lawler defended himself by saying that he was only repeating what Triple H said. Many backstage were happy to see Ross tell Lawler off on the air in what appeared to not be worked comments. Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 11, 2003 This feud is BORING. They should just take the belt off Triple K and let guys like Jericho and Christian "wrestle" and "entertain" us.

Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Vince needs to tell him that he's in charge of the production aspects ONLY and NOT involved with the content that makes it on air.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 11, 2003 Vince holds Dunns opinion in high regard. Dunn has been around the business for nearly his whole life (his father worked for Capitol Wrestling - Vince Sr.'s promotion) and his production has been the WWEs saving grace (The format, however, needs to change.) Anyone else find JRs comment about announcers telling the truth to be a lil bitter? Almost as if he doesn't like being the dirty shill McMahon tells him to be? Or is this me holding out hope that JR is forced to be one of the worst announcers ever rather than just losing all sense of what it takes to be a good PBP man? Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 11, 2003 In a few days you'll see a leak proclaiming McMahon supports this feud over racial crap as he did when he leaked out proclaiming he approved of the Necrophilia angle. Lawler just doing that standard Heel support but he made the error in repeating what HHH said. ALl the heel stylish announcers do that though copy a Heel's position to make a case. But the THOSE PEOPLE remark shouldn't have been repeated and JR was justified for all of us to Slap him down because of it. But I didn't think it was necessary for JR for him to give HHH That verbal blowjob proclaiming him (I been saying proclaiming alot don't I..Oops I said proclaiming again DAMN IT!) anyway JR Proclai....I mean Declared HHH was the greatest World Champion in recent memory. Even the Honky tonk man as IC champ was better than HHH, at least on paper and on Tape Honky took on all comers. HHH been lounging in the back for 5 segments for the past couple of raws then came out to wrestle in Non title matches and tag matches..... Even Honky would have gave Maven a IC shot even when he was scripted to win anyway. I Knew the McMahons were Connecticut Republicans but who knew they were trying to Cater to the Mississippi Good Ol Boys Klan Fan base.

Well, it's not like he was in a coma from it. Just like it wouldn't be a big deal if they had HHH talk to Orton or Batista on the phone or something.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 12, 2003 The WWE couldn't promote themselves out of a paperbag. The last thing that I seem to recall being booked in an interesting way was Rock/Jericho leading in to No Mercy 2001. Since then all title matches are about sex with dummies, crippled people rising from the dead, big metal gimmicks or racism. And that's not even getting into the amazingly fucked up Angle/Brock "feud". Title matches should be the easiest feuds to book. Someone needs to remind them that the title itself IS the motivation. Guest Kahran Ramsus Report post Posted March 12, 2003 I liked the booking for Rock/Brock at Summerslam, but before then I agree with Rock/Jericho No Mercy 2001.

Guest Steviekick Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Racism and other angles based on shock value is just a cheap way to get attention. You would think that for as ballsy as WWE is, they would be more confident in their product than to have to rely on cheap shocking entertainment. I thought they made movies, not shitty talk shows. Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted March 12, 2003 The WWE isn't ballsy, they are stupid, but not ballsy. I believe they proved that with the Unamerican angle. It was stupid, but it could have got them a lot of heat if they out right said 'it' and made a face in the process. But they decided to go half-assed (as ALWAYS) and the angle is in the bad idea graveyard... pop. 130, 785, 009.
Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Here's the best way to sum up the WWE's balls: They'll go as far to the left as they can without going far enough to lose the people on the right. That's the template for every feud...and why they all end up shallow and pointless.

Well, it's not like he was in a coma from it. Just like it wouldn't be a big deal if they had HHH talk to Orton or Batista on the phone or something. Well, you could probably infer he received a concussion from the shot. And doctors aren't really keen on people w/ concussions going on airplanes (unless Test drove to TX, which shoots down my argument). It would have made more sense for Test to be at home. Stacy could hear a woman's voice/laughter, and Test could have played it off like she was a nurse.

Stacy could hear a woman's voice/laughter, and Test could have played it off like she was a nurse. I think I read a rumor Test lives in motels, though. He doesn't have a home since his parents kicked him out. And I don't think he received a concussion. I think Jericho and Christian screwed up and smacked the chairs together so they didn't really catch his head. I guess he's a wimp. And if he did have a concussion, maybe the doctors don't want him flying, but you know how much Test loves Girls Gone Wild. He would risk it. He didn't drive, because he would rather do anything than drive. That's why he missed that one Raw ... he didn't want to do the Test Driving! Holy skeez, double joke! Fuck, you could say it's a triple! A triple howler! The WWE couldn't promote themselves out of a paperbag. The WWE isn't ballsy, they are stupid, but not ballsy. I believe they proved that with the Unamerican angle. It was stupid, but it could have got them a lot of heat if they out right said 'it' and made a face in the process. Do you mean September 11th? Because they did mention that. If that ain't it, then I don't know what is. They'll go as far to the left as they can without going far enough to lose the people on the right. It's not exactly good business to lose people. You can change for the better without alienating part of the fanbase.
