Watched Hogan vs Taker SS91

For some reason, there was a Undiscussed changing of the Guard....

 

Taker Hogan Match Made Taker a Serious compeditor at the time. It pushed him up from the Midcard status where he was Dumping people in bodybags to almost a higher level wrestler. Though the Undertaker would not Get a WM Main event till WM13. However From the match in 91 Undertaker was given the postition to be considered a Terror that could Hit anyone...even main eventers.

 

Now Hogan didn't disappear after this match...certainly Hogan and the bookers already planned this Title won by the Taker only last from that Thursday till The Next Tuesday which happen to be in Texas. Hogan was gonna stick around on and off for another 2 years. But what they did underestimate was the fan response. Taker marks rose from the young and those tired of always seeing Hogan get the win constantly. Taker as a character was the farthest Extreme opposite of Hogan at the time. And people tuned into that.

 

Taker of today is far removed from the Undertaker of old, and he is 12 years tenure gave him far more political power than One wrestler could possess outside of Hogan. He is arguably the Locker room leader and well respected from the wrestlers to management.

 

I want to get the SS90 so I can see his debut again.....even Scott Keith paid some homage to his intro. And he is one of the most Rabid Taker haters on the planet.

Hey, everyone in the promotion put him over, even Hogan.

 

Shouldn't he do the same NOW to younger stars, since he's basically turned into what Hogan was? It's honest that he's already done that with Brock, but that's pretty much it.

 

He is arguably the Locker room leader and well respected from the wrestlers to management.

 

Yet he's been very unreceptive to change. How about not even giving the time of day to sell for WCW'ers DDP, Kanyon, Palumbo, O'Haire, Kronik and RVD back in the Invasion era? Or holding grudges against these same workers (especially DDP and O'Haire)?
