Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Someone care to explain to me what the differences between this show and the ones from pre-NWO are, so I can see exactly where Heyman's demotion has factored in? We have our token long match (and I know a few said that would end), Taker fooling around with other hossi.. HOSSI~! hell, Lesnar actually looks human for once by making a mistake! That's a step UP from what we've seen from him in several weeks. Feud still blows though.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Was this only Brock's 2nd loss ever since his debut?
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 12, 2003 First Big Show and then Eric Angle, why wont they let someone who will really benefit from pinning Brock do it?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Was this only Brock's 2nd loss ever since his debut? Yeah. First Big Show and then Eric Angle, why wont they let someone who will really benefit from pinning Brock do it? I thought KURT got the pin. Granted, the terrible feud negates that, but whatever,
Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Yeah, Kurt got the pin. Eric was the F-5 decoy dummy.
Guest The Tino Standard Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Quite frankly, I think the wild speculation in forums such as this one has driven this situation far out of hand. Nobody really knows Angle's condition for sure. Yet everybody wants to jump off the ledge and declare him "out of his mind" for going into the match at WM because of "all the risks" and whatever. You don't even know exactly how bad things are and how much of a risk he's actually taking. Trust me, if Angle was in no position to wrestle, he wouldn't. Look at two other similar situations in the past. 1. Stone Cold Steve Austin is as much of a self-professed wrestling junkie as anybody in the business. He was scheduled for a match with The Rock and HHH at SurSer 99, but had to bow out. Do you really think Austin would back out of that match at the last minute unless he ABSOLUTELY HAD TO? No way. 2. Let's look at everybody's favorite- Chris Benoit. He had a neck that also required major surgery, yet he went out and fought at KOR 2001 anyway. This wasn't even a big story until AFTER the match because it was kept under wraps. Benoit certainly didn't hold anything back in that match; in fact, he took a few pretty stiff bumps, especially knowing what we know now. My point is this: The wrestlers know how well they personally can perform better than anybody in a message board forum. If they don't think they can get in the ring, they'll get written out (like Austin). But if they think they can get through it, they will (Benoit). If Kurt Angle thinks he can put on a WM main event-level match with Lesnar, then who the hell are we to say he can't?

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Lesnar looking human Yeah, that fluke pin saved this feud.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Compare it to the last couple of weeks of Lesnar beating up everyone, and I'd say it's a step up. But the big thing is the cruiserweights are being given some movement again.
Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted March 12, 2003 Good point about the cruisers Brian. I wonder what the excuse will be. Ace was sick over the last 2 weeks? Truth be told, I'm more sold on HHH/Booker than I am Angle/Brock because at least there's some sort of clear motivation for the challenger. Still not sure if I want to spend the $40 come the 30th for it though.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted March 12, 2003 I just watched the show. It was alright. Cena's rap is awesome this week. Nothing else really worth saying about it.
