Guest Doomsault Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 I saw that they planned on releasing Ocarina of Time for GameCube and I was wondering if it was going to be a remake or just a port with better graphics. Anyone know for sure?
Guest Cavi Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 It's just a port running in a higher resolution. Both OOT and Master Quest (i.e. the unreleased Ura Zelda, which is like a remixed OOT) are included on the disc. The game is not officially for sale at retail though. You can get it when preordering Wind Waker.
Guest Mattdotcom Posted March 12, 2003 Report Posted March 12, 2003 And chances are, all stores are sold out now. If they are, Nintendo isn't planning to make any more, so get one while you can.

Actually, if you are a lucky bugger like me. Nintendo sends stuff through the mail to let you preorder Wind Waker via them (which is about same price as a decent retail store). Best part is it garentees that you get both Ocarina of Time and Master Quest. So, I'm going to order my copy through Nintendo just to be certain that I get my three games. Oh yeah, did I happen to mention that I've got till the end of April to complete that? Isn't that sick?
Guest GameCop Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Are Ocarina of Time and Master Quest FREE with the purchase of The Legend of Zelda:Windwaker?
Guest GameCop Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 Three games for 49.95? That's a GREAT deal. I'm pre-ordering it today!
Guest Flyboy Posted March 13, 2003 Report Posted March 13, 2003 I would hurry. My Software Etc. barely got in a new shipment of bonus discs and they are attatching them to all the people who has theirs pre-ordered. If they wouldn't had got those discs I would be fucked.
Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Where the heck have you all been? I preordered mine back in December as soon as I got word of the Bonus disk.
Guest Flyboy Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 I went and paid $15 bucks on my copy today (I already had around $26 on it), and I got my bonus disk.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 I've got my order in on Amazon, which means that they'll run out and I'll be screwed. I debated buying it for too long, everywhere I checked was out of the bonus disks.
Guest Jobber of the Week Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Went and preordered it yesterday (Saturday) at the local Babbages with no problem. Graphics are identical except for less jaggyism thanks to the new res. Control is rather meh. Master Quest is rather interesting, although I've spent most my time refamiliarizing myself with the original one. Odd thing is that in a video of this that I saw the other day, Ganondorf bleeds green blood at one point. In my N64 version, it's red. And although I haven't played it in a long time, I know it's red for sure because I still remember being suprised by that considering the rating and Nintendo's squeaky image.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Yeah they changed it (IIRC) to green blood in later versions of the OOT. They also took out some chanting that was allegedly Muslim sounding. Nintendo doesn't seem to realize that you don't need to be PC all the time. Of course, they still seem to be going for the 10-16 demographic, so I suppose they're just making sure they don't offend the parents.

Conspiracy_Victim Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Well Zelda in particular and their game library in general. Yes I know they have the Resident Evil series now and they have made strides, but Nintendo has always seemed to want to appeal more to the younger gamers. Just my opinion.
