Guest Crazy Dan Report post Posted March 14, 2003 (edited) I just paid $2.11 for the lowest grade unleaded. So the highest is 2.31. This is what it is like all over in the Bay Area, which I heard has the highest prices any where in the USA. With prices like this, why aren't we developing more hybrids and improving our gas mileage on all our cars? Edited March 14, 2003 by Crazy Dan

With prices like this, why aren't we developing more hypbrids and improving our gas mileage on all our cars? mainly because the auto industry doesn't care. As long as they make their huge profits, they can afford any price for gas. The people, themselves need to stop buying SUVS that are gaz guzzling, disasters-on-wheels(just my opinion)
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted March 14, 2003 "Good. I hope they do raise gas twenty cents. Anything to drive a spike into gas guzzlings's heart." You know, I must admit that I get a little chuckle when filling up my Corsica at the station and seeing some soccer mom pay through the nose in order to fill up her SUV... Guest Brian Report post Posted March 14, 2003 In Washington, they're working on an initiative where people who drive cars that get less than 18 or 20 MPG gets a luxry tax of like $2000.
Guest EricMM Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Good that should be a national thing. Of course no president who initiated THAT would ever, ever get anywhere. Bush panders to SUV drivers, but so did Clinton. Soccor moms vote I guess. And they like to drive high on the road or some shit. And they're total ecological numbskulls. Sigh.
