Guest Black Tiger Report post Posted March 13, 2003 In my public address class I had to give an informational speech. I chose to do mine on MMA. The speech went good overall. Out of the four reaction sheets I got from classmates. One said "Very good" double underlined, one said "Good Job!" and another said "Good Job " Of course my teacher is only one who didn't like it, she claimed I had too many gorey details (its full contact fighting for the Christ's sake, how can I NOT talk about injuries?) I only menitoned Gordeu's foot in UFC one, Etish's eye in UFC 2, and Kitao's nose in UFC 9. Even my classmates were going on about "what's her problem?" Guest crandamaniac Report post Posted March 13, 2003 Good job. I gave a speech yesterday myself, well actually it was an oral interpretation. I did pretty well, but got marked down for saying " 'em" instead of "him", even tho it was a quote.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted March 13, 2003 I have gotten into plenty of hot water while doing speeches in front of classes. My buddy and I did the first 15 minutes of Pulp Fiction's initial Jackson/Travolta conversation for a public speaking class. I got lambasted by a bunch of religious students, even though I read off all the "dirty" words that would be uttered in this speech/performance. My peer-feedback sheets were either very good or cussed me out...
