SPRING BREAK!!!

Recommended Posts

Guest Hamburger Man

Any of you have plans for this years spring break? Im gonna take a 4 hour drive down to Rocky Point, Mexico for the first half of the week then head up to Lake Havasu, Arizona for the end. I have been told the last few days at Lake Havasu are the wildest and the first few days at Rocky Point are even wilder than the last few days so I carefully planned by week so I can catch the best of both. Hopefully there will be lots of beer, girls, beer, tops off, beer, and girls.

Well, considering I'm still in high school, our "Spring Break" is the week after Good Friday. I'll be typing a 7-page thesis comparing Bret Easton Ellis' novels Glamorama and either The Rules Of Attraction or American Psycho.

And I'll probably also smoke a few butts, masturbate a lot, play the FUCK out of my guitar, and watch my horror movies.

I'm doing nothing. I don't mind, actually.

Oh, I'll be writing a ten page paper for one of my sociology classes. I AM THRILLED.

I have to START my thesis paper. Still don't have a topic. Maybe instead of watching porn, I could do that...Nah.

Oddly, instead of my hours at work increasing due to lack of college at night, I have found my hours cut even more. I didn't think that I could get below 13 hours a week, but I was wrong. My spring break: 9 hours in one week.

Oh, and I just learned I have a bit role in a short film a friend is making. My entire contribution to this film is to be killed by a toaster. Yay!

Better yet, the film is a faux documentary about a Mexican jazz band. One of the members is killed by said toaster--and I play him in a renactment.

And I look nothing like the actor playing the part. It's surreal, to say the least.

My break was this past week. I spent it sleeping in, not doing any of the schoolwork/ studying that I was supposed to(fuckit, I somehow pulled a 3.67 last semester), jerking ogf until it took on the form of a physical act of expressing my self-loathing, driving around late at night listening to sad music I don't like and regretting every single decision I've ever made, then retiring to my couch, where I watched Gazelle Freestyle infomercials and wondered where my life went wrong.

So I had a pretty good time.

My school goes on a three term per year system, so the second term just ended. No schoolwork at all. Though I do have an internship interview next week.

Listen kids, I know you've had a long first half, and this week is Spring Break. I also know you're all going to be wanting to drink a little alcohol and flash your breasts, and I know it sounds like a lot of fun, but I'm asking you to please behave yourselves. If you think I don't know what goes on at Spring Break, you're dead wrong. I used to be in college, for a couple of years anyway. I catch my son watching MTV every once in a while. I even went down to South Padre, Texas a couple of years ago to visit my brother on his Spring Break. Let me tell you guys, I will never forget some of the things I saw. Girls Gone Wild doesn't even begin to describe it.

If you're under 21, don't drink. And if you're 21 or older, please drink responsibly. I can't stress this enough. Also, don't take drugs. And if you're going to take drugs, please test them with a test kit to make sure they're not laced with more drugs. It's a downward spiral folks, that's all it is.

I'd also suggest that if you plan on taking long road trips, make sure to get plenty of rest. Many accidents on the way to Spring Break destinations occur as a result of fatigue.

I'm not trying to crack down on your fun, or 'bum your high' as my son will occasionally say. I'm just trying to make sure you're all safe, because that's what is most important to me and the rest of the Wichita Police Dept.
